About 25 years ago, a friend of mine brought me a bottle of Gator Sauce from a trip to Florida. I loved the sauce but was unable to find more in the far north. 15 years ago, I bought a bottle in Florida and had it confiscated from my carry-on flight bag by the TSA. I don't understand the appeal of certain hot sauces. There's one made in Louisiana that is especially popular but it doesn't have any flavor other than "hot." So it was nice to find an alternative hot sauce when I sat down for breakfast at the Alva Country Diner (about 15 miles east of Fort Myers) and spot something new on the table.A few dashes of Gator Hammock hot sauce onto my eggs and they tasted great. Gator Hammock has been my favorite hot sauce for 10 yrs or more when I discovered it at the local California Tortilla “Wall of Flame” - choice of 50 sauces to try with your meal (Pennsylvania). I was surprised to discover the GH location as Felda, Fl - having just bought a house in Ave Maria, I need to take a road trip on our next visit!
