Our table ordered 2 flounder specials, one Tuna entre, and one salmon (replacement) entre for dining outside on the patio. All were exceptional, as was Patrick our server. Good wine and weather helped.

Creative well prepared cuisine, cozy atmosphere and a well thought out wine list makes for a very enjoyable evening. Highly recommended.

We stopped in Amelia Island due to the bad storms and so glad we did. And finding the Bar Zin restaurant was an unexpected find. We can't say enough good things about it. Emmet was our server and made every effort to make sure our dining experience was perfect! The daily fish special was superb and the chicken piccata was so tender. And don't forget the famous beignets for dessert!

The food was excellent. While I was initially disappointed that scallops weren't available, I appreciated the transparency from our server, who explained that due to current market prices and quality concerns, the restaurant chose not to serve them. It showed integrity and a commitment to quality. The French Onion soup and grilled calamari were both outstanding, and my husband thoroughly enjoyed his steak but it wasn't served with the risotto. The drinks were well-crafted. However, our guest was disappointed that blue cheese-stuffed olives were unavailable. Since blue cheese was available (it was even served on the steak), it seemed like a missed opportunity to offer a simple workaround by pairing it with regular olives. The additional charge for plain olives also felt unnecessary in that context. The ambiance was pleasant overall—we dined outside, though our table lacked lighting while others nearby had it. A light was eventually offered, but only after our food had arrived. It was a minor inconvenience, not a major issue. The primary reason for the lower rating, however, stems from our experience with the server's professionalism. After our guest politely questioned the charge for the olives, the server went inside made a sarcastic comment about it loud enough for the entire indoor dining area to hear. I happened to be in the restroom nearby and was shocked to overhear the exchange. While it's understandable that service staff may have moments of frustration, expressing that publicly and at the expense of a guest's dignity is entirely inappropriate. Ironically, I had initially intended to apologize for my guest's comment—but that moment made it clear that I wouldn't be returning. The server's behavior ultimately overshadowed an otherwise great meal.

The food was very good but the half salad portion size was too small. Halibut special was good but the fish portion size varied on the 3 plates we ordered.

From the moment we arrived we were treated as if we were the only diners. Our server (Patrick) was attentive, anticipatory, and a gracious host. Food and drinks were well prepared and tasty. Not our first time to Bar Zin nor will it be our last.

There were 4 of us. Food can vary sometimes, but it was very good last night. I really liked my short rib special. My husband's scallops were very good. Not sure of our friends meals. Didn't ask them. Ambience is good & waiter good.

The food was good, the dessert was disappointing. This restaurant is VERY loud. Service was very good although very busy and looked short staffed. Wine is at a good price point, appetizers are expensive and desserts are overpriced.

Everything we had was good, but I would go back for the fried oysters alone. Just perfection. My husband had the pork chop special and it was perfectly cooked... moist, juicy, and tender. Great flavors.

Our family of five dined here the last night we were in town. The appetizers of calamari and peel and eat shrimp were lacking in size a little, but tasted good. for the meals we had the pork chop, the Cajun sausage dish, And cheeseburgers. They were all splendid, and we topped the meal off with the chocolate cake and beignets. Very enjoyable and satisfying supper!!!

Heather and her staff are a step above incredible. They make everyone feel welcome and there is a real friendly vibe that encourages conversations even with others in the restaurant. The chef seems low key but he is a true talent that with his specials, keeps the menu fresh with every visit. We are never disappointed.

The wait staff was friendly and efficient, but the host staff were not very welcoming. The food was very good as usual. Although we purchased a bottle of white wine at their adjoining wine store as suggested, they did not have a way to rapidly chill it in the restaurant.

We hadn't been to Bar Zin since they changed their hours a few years ago. The service was excellent and the food was amazing. We specifically enjoyed the Walnut, Pear & Bleu Cheese Salad & Bussell Sprouts, and the wine was reasonably priced. Our Main courses were Chicken Piccata & Cajun Shrimp w/Andouille Risotto. Both were outstanding and cooked perfectly. We will make this a "must stop" visit each time we're on the island.
