Great place, creative menu Items, open late. They also have a late night menu with discounts after 1030pm. One of my Favorite restaurants on 17th Street. Staff is always friendly and attentive. Love the food.

After all the Yelp hype we couldn’t wait to try Kubo. The menu and the ambiance is overwhelmingly pleasing. If you are an anime fan you will be super delighted with the decor! The service was friendly and receptive. They have a wonderful selection of Bobo bubble teas and the Choco was a decadent delight as were the cocktails. Unfortunately the food fell short. The Tonkatsu was in a delicious curry sauce but the meat was dryish. The hot and sour soup was quite good. The Thai pork dumplings were hardly edible. They came out barely lukewarm and the texture and taste were awful. Worst dumplings we have had we left 3 of the 4. Because of the huge menu and overall experience we will return to see if we just ordered the wrong dish.

First time going to Kubo and the food, service, and atmosphere was all great. I had the Hawaiian Poke bowl, and my partner had to the Unagi (Eel) Poke bowl. We were both very happy and satisfied with our main dish. The miso soup was little over salted but a splash of water calmed that down real quick. I ordered an app of Tako Yaki which I also enjoyed, just wished they gave 6 instead of 5 balls lol.
My friend that was there as well ordered like the fried chicken bao bun. It was so good she placed a 2nd order after getting her main dish of Shoyu Ramen, which she also thoroughly enjoyed. Had to loosen a button after that meal
We do plan on coming back to again to try more of their great food and maybe even get a dessert because I saw on the menu there was a basque cheesecake that I really wanna try 😅

We ordered online. When we went in they couldn't figure out our order. Took them a while. Quality of the food was terrible. Pork bao bun and curry Ramen was trash worthy basically. Very disappointed.

Food was good. Service was very bad. The hostess was on the phone and just finger pointed to sit anywhere. So we sat. No one gave us menu. So I went to go get it. Then someone came to take order. No one mentioned for lunch menu. I ordered drink in the middle and it never came. Nobody came in the middle to check how the food was. Disappointed very much. Not coming back. I just told the lady at pay. She didn't even say sorry. I want to take back the tip I just gave.
What a little hidden gem on 17th steeet. We lived on this block for two years and finally went here. Was blown away. Food was fantastic and authentic. Chicken katsu curry is a top tier dish.

My duck dish was delicious. I've also tried the bao buns and rolls, and they were good too. I found the Ube basque cheesecake to be delicious and unique. The servers there are also very nice and pleasant.
It can get a little loud there though.

We arrived (party of 2) and were told it’s a 15 minute wait and they took our name and number down. After 25 minutes we started seeing them seating a table of 2 and 4 as people were walking in. We didn’t get seated, and were the only ones waiting as everyone who arrived after us was getting sat. The girl and the front saw us waiting by the front door. We asked if any of those other people had reservations and were told no, there were walk in’s…… bad customer service on their end and thank you for wasting our time , we left.
