Great food! We really enjoyed everything and the atmosphere was great. Fans to keep you cool on the patio and great ocean views!

This has been my favorite breakfast restaurant (as Tinta) in Fort Lauderdale for a long time, which is why today’s experience was so disappointing.

I ordered the Carne Asada Tacos because the menu described them with tomatillo avocado salsa and caramelized onions. Instead, they arrived with only chopped steak, raw white onions, and cilantro. It looked nothing like the menu description. Same with the chicken one.

It then took about 25 minutes to get a server’s attention and speak with the manager, Manni, so by then the tacos had been sitting on the table getting cold. Manni initially brought us mashed avocado and sour cream to add ourselves, even though those aren’t the ingredients listed on the menu. I had to specifically ask for the tacos to be remade, and the second plate was essentially the same, again with avocado and sour cream on the side instead of what was advertised.

Manni barely apologized for the inconvenience and told us he would take care of our bill. However, when the check arrived, we were still charged the full amount.

What disappointed me the most was that Manni tried to place the blame on our server. This was 100% not the server’s fault. The issues were with the kitchen, the menu not matching the dish, and how the situation was handled afterward.

Breakfast at Lona Ft. Lauderdale was amazing the decor was zen and upscale. The servers Ysa and Joselin were so friendly and attentive and described dishes to a tee we ordered a few dishes to split it was too hard to just pick one. Everything was so appetizing to look at ,and tasted even better !!! I had the carnitas hash with poached eggs with peppers onions and potatoes !! It was incredible the pork was slowed cooked and seasoned to perfection . This place is the full package . Come and enjoy !!! I will be coming for dinner during my trip also.
