“This is a hidden gem in Fort Myers. I work for Door Dash, did a photoshoot for A Comer Bueno today and as a food photographer, and I was impressed with the variety of cuisine.
I am half Dominican and lived there for 11 yrs.
The owners Larissa and Jose Castro and the staff are very lovely people. I had the pleasure of meeting them before the photoshoot.
I have been living here in Fort Myers since 1997 and Dominican cuisine has not been very successful because it is not known in the area as cuban cuisine.
After the shoot, the owner was happy to make "chicharron de cerdo" (Dominican pork grinds) and fries with Country Club (very popular Dominican soda).
I highly encourage people from the community to check this gem out.“
“Dachefs' has been to Franklin Park Elementary many times over the last two years and he is such a blessing to our staff. I have tried so many different dishes from him but, I absolutely love the ribs! His food is always hot, fresh and served with love. I had a teacher tell me recently that the only thing that got him to work was knowing DaChefs would be here for lunch. Now that is power!“

“Friendly community. Love walking the neighborhood. Strict gate, if your not on the list you are not getting in. Easy app to add your guests. Don't park on the grass, or on the street overnight, don't leave your garbage cans out.. there are steep fines. Love the huge condo, very large rooms, and beautiful lake views. Decent size secured pool, with clean restrooms.“

“the cutest independent coffee shop in town! On the free side of the Edison and Ford Estates. Delicious coffees and teas, lemonade, homemade pastries, and if you get there early enough, sandwiches! Staff is fabulous and accommodating. Love the Banyan Cafe“

“Purchase 5 lbs fresh caught shrimp and took then to visit my son ans family in Tennesse. They were outstanding. Recommend you buy your shrimp from them , you will get none better and very good prices“

“Truth be told, I was on the way to someplace else but the aroma from their smoker entered my car. I had to stop. Am I ever glad I did! I ordered way too much food for just two of us. “Was craving fish tacos on our vacation and came upon this place while searching online for seafood. I can’t say enough about how amazing our experience was! The food was PHENOMENAL! The freshness, quantity, presentation, and service was all 11/10! Fun, upbeat Hispanic music playing and a cute little dining area to sit and eat. Will definitely go out of our way to re-visit next time we are in Florida!
Recommend: fried fish tacos, shrimp ceviche, and the mixed fried rice. The pineapple juice was also amazing!“

“Been coming here for years with my family. Everything is tasty. Always get the small pangasius fish sandwiches. The large one is more than we can eat at one sitting.“
“Wasn't sure what to expect but the weather was terrible so we didn't want to travel far from the B&B in which we were staying. In fact, we would have walked, but I probably would have been struck down by lightning, lol. So, this place has that "hole in the wall" kind of thing going on inside, but in a good, purposely planned way. Since I don't eat a lot of Latin influenced food I went with the server's recommendation and got the Chilean Sea Bass with a delicious Mango Salsa on top. It was perfectly prepared and a huge portion. I thought "there is no way I can eat this entire piece of fish". Hah! I could not stop shoveling it down - absolutely delicious! Whatever else they are cooking in there smelled glorious when we walked in the door so I'm sure it is good. Would recommend and eat here again.“

On both of my visits, each with a group of friends, the experience proved consistent: this is a lively, well-conceived social hub where good food and good company come naturally. The covered structure provides welcome shade while maintaining an open-air ambiance, giving the space a breezy, Florida-appropriate feel. Even with sizable crowds, the layout accommodates larger groups comfortably, with ample seating that encourages lingering conversations and shared meals. When live music is scheduled — as it was during our most recent visit — the venue truly comes alive. A well-positioned stage and additional outdoor seating create an inviting setting to enjoy the performance, while numerous televisions ensure sports fans never miss the action. Service at the bar was efficient and friendly, keeping the evening moving smoothly. Backyard Social’s rotating lineup of food trucks is a central attraction, and our group sampled widely. The standout for me was the Mediterranean truck, whose chicken gyro was exceptional — easily the best I have encountered. Tender, well-seasoned meat paired with fresh accompaniments and balanced sauces elevated what is often casual fare into something memorable. A practical note: when the venue reaches peak popularity, parking can become challenging. Arriving early or carpooling is wise.
