“We had a fantastic dinner at GatorBites Tail & Ale. Amber, our server, was perfectly attentive and timed everything just right. Nick, the owner, added charm by working the floor as a “pretend bus boy” before joining us for a great conversation that made the evening even more memorable.

As a lifelong foodie who usually cooks high-end meals at home, I was genuinely impressed. Some of the negative reviews I’d seen beforehand now seem baffling — this place exceeded expectations across the board.

The food was outstanding. The beer-battered shrimp were the best I’ve ever had — light, crispy, and flavorful. The wings were excellent, and my wife loved her smoked pulled pork sandwich. Their signature fresh gator was also a standout. First-timers: go for the virgin breaded version — it’s far more tender and crispy than the flavored options.

Prices are very fair, especially considering the quality. The cocktails are strong and well-made, and their house IPA, Reef Donkey, was a surprise hit — easily the best IPA I’ve had.

Despite being a sports bar-style venue, it’s spotlessly clean, welcoming, and delicious. It’s a little off the beaten path, but absolutely worth the effort to find. We’ll definitely be back.“

“Love this place! Feels like it’s a hidden gem. It’s a part of the Luminary hotel and one of few sports bars downtown. They have great deals and if you are into golf/soccer/hockey/football they have a simulator. There is something for everyone here! Alyssa is my absolute favorite employee not just at Chips but the Luminary as a whole. She always remembers me and provides consistent top notch service. Brittany is awesome too. Check it out, you won’t be disappointed!!“

“If you’ve never been here, keep in mind, the prices on the website are different than the prices on the menu in the restaurant. Waitress said “you can’t go by the online prices”…….well then you need to change them then & they shouldn’t be advertised if it’s not the actual price….IJS. They really need to fix that & if they don’t fix it, they should honor the prices they are advertising 🤷🏻‍♀️“

“This place is the 80-90’s sports bar that we all loved. The staff is fun and the food is great. Only reason for the 4-star is there is still smoking allowed inside the outdoor bar area. I’d prefer to have that outside completely. There’s plenty of room for it.“

I grabbed a couple of my cake tiers..and went to see what she held for me... they were very delicious cupcakes! At the party, when friends asked where I got them...people knew.."Oh..the little place.."..ayuh...watch out for those small unpretentious little shops in a plaza...its a GEM! “The Duffy's in Fort Myers and Ricky Todd, the manager is a great manager.Very people friendly and respectful, his employees seem to respect him. Nick, the server, good young man, last year of high school, very good communicator, hustles for the customers. Knows the menu well and was very fast. And respectful. 5 Stars for them both!!!“

“Visited on a not so busy Thursday at 11:30a and we were one of only a few people there which worked in our favor. The service was very prompt, the food came out quick and was piping hot and delicious. The serving size is generous, we ended up taking food home. The service by Jennifer R was amazing, very personable, she even offered us to go cups without us needing to ask. There is a special right now, 10 for $10 with added desserts only an additional $3 which is a fantastic for what you get. One of the better Beefs around, it even has outdoor seating.

Parking: Large parking lot shared with other businesses on site, no problems finding pretty close parking to the restaurant, handicap is almost directly in front.“

“I was not a fan & I went back to tell them. I met Ashley (a manager who'd been sent here to fix the problems) she convinced me to come back & let them try again. So I went back for breakfast & I met Rodrigo who has turned out to be the best waiter I've met in this town. I had the best breakfast I've had since I moved here 6 years ago! More importantly, it turns out they have the best coffee in town! I went back again & brought a friend - guess what? Another great breakfast! Could these have been flukes? I went back for a third time with my family. Yet another flawless breakfast! Same restaurant, same Rodrigo, three excellent meals in a row with no complaints! Ashley whipped mornings into shape & now she's working on the rest. There stands a very good chance that this will become the restaurant we all hoped it would be. If you've eaten there & been disappointed I urge you to go back & try it again, I certainly will!“
