Stewby's Steamer & Market Reviews

We went here multiple times on our Okaloosa Island vacation. Our first stop after getting off the airline because we were starved. Family steamer was fantastic! Had to make more stops before we returned home. Each time was fantastic!
Blue crabs were mushy (overcooked). Corn and potatoes were crunchy (undercooked). I called and told them about the food and was put on hold for over 10 minutes. They never returned to the phone. Their phone rang busy from 6pm to 8pm (closing time). It’s sad because we dropped over $70 there and it all went in the trash. Don’t waste your hard earned money there. They didn’t try make it right.

Stewby's Steamer & Market is a popular seafood restaurant. For steamers, guests visit the market side, while fried food is on the other side. The food quality is described as astounding, wonderful, excellent, and simply the best, with great portions served hot. Specific excellent items include the steamed royal red shrimp, steamer shrimp, steamer grouper, shrimp roll, and the blackened grouper sandwich. The crab is noted as the cleanest and freshest. Sides are also praised. Some reviewers note the "lowcountry boil" style means seasoning is on the shells, leaving the meat itself and items like corn and potatoes sometimes described as lacking flavor or dry. Despite this, many declare it their favorite special meal and plan to return always.
