I would recommend AJ’s for the live music and drinks, but the food is lacking. $26 for 8 oysters is ridiculous. I ordered the “shrimp spring rolls”. I expected a spring roll like you get in an Asian restaurant. I got six shrimp tails wrapped in phyllo for $16. Very disappointed in the food but the atmosphere is nice.
the best place on the planet for food, atmosphere and a drink with friends. definitely recommend and would love to return one day!

AJ's Oyster Shanty offers generous portions of delectable seafood dishes, including fresh oysters and the fish of the day. Located across the street from the Gulf, the restaurant features typical beach shack decor inside. The food is good, with dishes like shrimp and grits being well-received. One standout feature is the family-friendly atmosphere, making it a great spot for larger groups. The oysters were so good! Crab cake balls were delicious! It was beautiful watching the sunset from seats that over looked the harbor. They had white Mac n cheese that everyone at the table thought was delicious. The spinach/artichoke dip was awesome, served with homemade pita chips. The wagyu beef sliders with homemade onion rings and coleslaw were also very good. There was so much food and it all tasted very good. They had live music and a DJ.
