We come to Florida every year, and Hightide was always a restaurant we made sure we went to while in Fort Walton, every single visit. Not sure what has changed since last year, because it was always phenomenal. I ordered a steak medium well and made sure to say no pink. I was brought a bloody steak. I’m a local and went there recently, it used to be wonderful back in the day. It’s been quite a few years since I’ve been back and I was very disappointed. The service was good, but the food was overpriced and not very good. I will never go back.
We had dinner there last night and as always it was so good. I honestly can’t believe that some people drive right by to go to the more touristy places. We live about 75 miles from Ft. Walton Beach and this has been our go to place since the mid 80’s. Best gumbo I have ever had. Give this place a try. You won’t be disappointed ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
