Finally tried El Torreonense for the first time. Service was very friendly and the server, who is something of a local celebrity, talked with me about the menu and gave me recommendations. I took her advice and got three gorditas with three different fillings to try a range of flavors. They were all good but the one that stood out most was the gorditas filled with cooked cactus. Fantastic food and service. Family owned and operated. Everything made in-house. Don't go spend the same money at a chain "Mexican" restaurant that serves low-quality, americanized food. This local business needs support more than a Peppers or Pedro'
