Well staffed in here. Cocktails for tailgate are top tier
The tacos are definitely their speciality. The guacamole is the blandest I’ve ever had. It had so many onions in it and there was no flavor except onion. Save the $20 and get a nice dessert of something instead. It’s very busy inside and not for someone looking for a quiet bite to eat.
A group of six of us came here straight after finishing a brutal midterm to decompress and celebrate being done. The atmosphere is loud, bright, and completely perfect for a bigger group. We ordered a few giant bowls of their tableside guacamole to share, which was an absolute hit. I got the chicken fajitas for my main and the portion size was massive. The skillet was sizzling so loud we couldn't even hear each other talk for a minute. Great, fun spot.

Cantina Añejo is a great spot for group events and casual dining. The servers, including a wonderful waitress and attentive bartenders, go above and beyond to ensure a pleasant experience, even accommodating young children. The food is amazing, with popular items like chicken quesadilla, shrimp burrito, veggie quesadillas, fish tacos, and killer tacos. While the menu can be shortened during busy times, the meals still impress. The bar serves upscale drinks, including the Tequila Gold Rush. The owner makes rounds to check on each table, adding a personal touch to the visit. With excellent service and great food, Cantina Añejo is a must-visit in Gainesville, whether someone is a local or just passing through.
