Passing through the area for the holidays, and wanted a nice breakfast.
Look no further. Gainesville has a nice breakfast company hiding right in the heart of town.
The food is made from scratch and tastes so authentic. Probably the best grits I've had in 30 years. Amazing gravy, both mushroom and sausage versions.
Even the kids faithfully ate their breakfasts down.
Friendly staff, and come prepared knowing your greatest fear. Mine is being trapped in a cave.
Only critique I can offer is that the table tops are a little sticky from where the finish is wearing off and needs resealed. No biggie. We just layered down some napkins.
Very impressed that a shopping center would have such a hidden gem sitting in plain sight.
Closes at 2pm, so get there early.

I am writing this before even eating my food. The outdoor seating at this location is not dog friendly. I’m not sure if it is all locations, just the manager at this location or just the employee who ban all pets in outdoor seating. I have an email into corporate for some clarification. The employee who took my order offered no alternative before telling me I can’t come here with a dog. She asked if I had anyone else with me and I told her I live here alone and only have my dog as I assume she was going to have someone hold the dog for me outside as she took my order. I told her I guess I can just order to go and wait outside for my food. She didn’t seem pleased with that idea but did take my order. Another employee brought my food out and he was very kind. There are two areas for outdoor seating one is a fenced off area on the side of the building and the other is in the walkway of the shopping plaza.

"Temporarily closed" sign on the door. No explanation, still accepting online orders for takeout. Drove there for no reason.

Line was medium when I arrived, but moved fairly quickly. Order the Retro plate, took 20 minutes to get order(not that busy). I asked for eggs over medium(runny), there were definitely over hard. Wanted milk to drink but all they had was the little organic(12 grams of sugar) boxes like you get in a kids meal. Weird as they have gallons of milk they use for the coffee and latte.not to bad, but very noisy

It’s like they got the dirty silverware and just gave it back out to the other customers, it’s absolutely disgusting. Food is bland and it’s as if it just came out the microwave. Definitely avoid!!! There’s a First Watch across the parking lot, just go there if you’re thinking about getting breakfast/lunch. Much more hygienic and cleaner than this place 🤢🤮

Love maple street. Any time I feel like treating myself to a nice breakfast or taking friends and family out to show them a good breakfast spot in Gainesville, maple street is always the place. Chicken is ok point, sausage gravy is absolute fire and the biscuits will send you to heaven. Ten outta ten

If I could summarize my first & last visit to this place in three words, they would be "sticky", "black" and "cold". The table top was sticky, like it hadn't been wiped; and my shoes stuck to the floor like it had a layer of grime. I ordered two eggs over medium, a side order of patty sausage and a waffle. The eggs were black, like they'd been cooked in a cast iron skillet; very unappealing. My side of sausage was one measly patty that looked like it had been cooked the day before, absolutely NOT cooked to my order. And the waffle was SO COLD the fake butter would not even soften, obviously also pre-cooked; and the syrup was obviously faux maple. I can only assume this franchise got sold and has devolved downward since. When Gainesville has Flying Biscuit, Metro Diner and 43rd Street Deli; there's no reason to drop $20 per person in this threadbare dump.

Loved this fast-break spot.
Shandy and the team worked well, remained composed throughout service.
There was communication and the fact that they call you by your favorite Christmas gift instead of your name.
It engages the crowd and makes it fun.
They even came to the table of 13 to check on us.
Great job team✨
