I’ll be honest: sometimes I assume hotel restaurants and bars are going to be more like dives and not necessarily that good. So when my husband wanted to go to The Comeback, I honestly wasn’t sure what to expect. I am SO happy we went!

Omg this place rocks service and beyond

The Comeback Sports Bar & Grill Gainesville is located in The Doubletree by Hilton Hotel. Guests walk through the beautiful hotel lobby to find this really nice restaurant and bar. There is plenty of seating indoor and outdoor, with more seating on the other side where gentlemen watch the game. The inside is beautiful with a sophisticated feel, featuring little UF Gator touches and fun decorations throughout.
The staff is friendly, exceptional, and fantastic. The service is great. The menu includes $6 cheesy tots, turkey club with fries, onion rings, peel and eat shrimp, pretzel & cheese, French dip sliders, wings, buttermilk pancakes, hamburger, chicken sandwich, and shrimp and Chicken Sandwich. The cheesy tots are crispy, cooked perfectly, with plenty of melty cheese. The turkey club is massive with plenty of meat. The onion rings are crispy and crunchy. The wings are crispy and sauced just enough. The portions are generous. Beer specials are available. There are what feels like a million TVs, and it is free to watch the game. There is no waiting around or fighting for a seat. The Comeback is relatively new. With the right social media advertising, it could become a hot spot, especially once the students are back at UF.
