Great pit stop along the road. The pulled pork has a lot of flavor and wasn't fatty! They have multiple flavors of BBQ. Sides were all great. Cornbread was a little dry but had decent flavor. Garlic bread could use more garlic. Good but tasted like buttered toast. Our waitress was very attentive. We'll definitely stop back in to try their breakfast during our next pass through town!
Great place for barbecue! Cute little hometown restaurant. We stopped on our road trip through Hawthorne. Apparently Dianne is the daughter of the original Sonny's restaurant and wanted to serve breakfast so didn't turn this location into one of chains locations. The service was fast and friendly! We all got a little something different and all enjoyed everything.

It would be a five but,, marked it on the edge in hope you would read the review, this place is a bit of barbecue history, it's in connection with other great BBQ joints, first, I had the pulled pork, first bite I thought of N.C style, which is my favorite style, short of a not having that tang of vinegar, it was awesome, the bbq beans are spot on, and collards are the absolute best next to my mom's, (sorry mom) .
