“This review is long overdue and I've been slacking. I cannot gush about this place enough! I heard about maman opening up before it was actually opened. Stoked about it because it's originally a NYC spot. And we all know NYC has some of the best eats!!!
Went during first week after it opened in Feb 2024 because coincidentally I was in Wynwood for something else. Had to stop in to snag some coffee and their Dark Chocolate Orange Cubed Croissant. Absolute heaven. The cubed croissant was perfectly layered and fun to eat. The filling was just the right hint of sweetness without being overly indulgent.
The ambiance is everything. I walked in and was immediately transported to a cute French cafe. The decor is heavenly. They thought of every little detail from the space, furniture, lighting, dishware, glassware, wallpaper and presentation on every level. It's super charming. I loved it so much I had planned a girls brunch the following month in March. We couldn't wait!
Brunch day came and my girlfriends fell in love with the space just as much as I did. They don't take reservations, first come first serve. So we arrived on a Sat morning as soon as they opened and were seated right away. Had a bit of everything. We had a variety of cocktails, because brunch. Sangria Tropicale was yummy. The Everything Croissant & Salmon Sandwich and Eggs Ratatouille is so damn good. My girls enjoyed the Croque maman but it was too much for me, too much cheese and way too rich.
We noticed our server wasn't dressed like the rest of the staff so we asked him about it. Turns out our server was also the owner, Ben. That says everything about the owner that they are willing to jump out there and help their team and do the work. Ben was awesome! He was incredibly kind and so very humble. He told us that he moved to South Florida from NYC and planned on opening several other maman locations. I love everything about maman so I'm so happy for their success! We had a lovely brunch experience and I would highly recommend. We even got a selfie with Ben. Such a cool guy! Thanks for the hospitality Ben. Sorry for this super late review. Lol.
I was at maman this past weekend after the South Florida Seafood Festival. I told hubby since we were in the area, we had to stop by maman which was right around the corner. Literally made it there 10 minutes before closing and Yann was kind enough to accommodate my order for coffee and pastries, whatever was left. Haha. We got a Honey Lavender Latte, Espresso d'Orange, Kouign maman and Banana Walnut Bread. The Kouign maman is KING!!! I am obsessed with peeling the layers like a sideways fruit roll up. The flavor and caramelization was absolute perfection. Dare I say it's even better than Dominque Ansel's Kouign Amann which is the first time I ever had this pastry. OH EM GEEEEE!!! Don't skip on this. Next time I will stock up. Lol. Banana Walnut Bread was just ok, quite dry and not very moist as I had hoped.
Bonus: maman uses the InKind app. I got a $10 off $20 discount using my app. SCORE!!!
Everything I've had at maman:
* Dark Chocolate Orange Cubed Croissant
* Eggs Ratatouille
* Croque maman
* Everything Croissant & Salmon Sandwich
* Sangria Tropicale
* Mom-osa
* Bellini
* Frosé
* Honey Lavendar Latte
* Espresso d'Orange
* Kouign maman
* Banana Walnut Bread
maman has about 40 locations nationwide including NY, FL, NJ, CT, DC, MD, PA, Montreal and Toronto. Check them out. You won't be sorry!“

“One of the best coffee shops in Miami. Hip but not over the top. Great coffee and friendly service. Their creamy perfectly frothed Matcha with macadamia milk is exquisite. And I always get their organic coffee beans (Espresso and Casa) to take with me to New York, they are perfect for making delicious coffee at home. Highly recommend.“

“What an experience! The ropa vieja… It was so delicious, it felt like a Cuban grandmother came all the way just to prepare it with all her loving hands. And the flan? A dream! Eating that dessert made me feel like I was floating on a cloud, swimming in a sea of caramel.
But our waitress added the group service fee to our bill, even though we were five people, not six. But honestly, this little mishap couldn’t overshadow how amazing the restaurant was. Can’t wait to go back!“

“We called ahead as we wanted to make sure about parking and also we had a small dog. We received a very warm positive response. There was lots of parking and our dog could be easily accommodated We came for brunch and were greeted very warmly by Juan and staff. It’s just a very nice place, coming from downtown Miami. It is still in the artsy district with lots of activity, but not right in the chaotic part of downtown Miami. We were greeted upon arrival. Juan made sure we were comfortable and took drink orders. Then the food. ( our dog was royally taken care of). We found the empanada to be excellent, the breakfast sandwiches delicious from bread to cheese, eggs and meat. Very fresh!! Our party had wonderful juice combinations and we had an expresso- all were excellent. It was a wonderful experience and we’d come back in a minute. Thankyou Juan!! PS the bathrooms were absolutely wonderful and clean too!!❤️❤️“

“Stumbled upon this place while exploring the area and so glad we did. The gelato is the best I’ve had. We tried multiple flavors and the flavor profiles were so authentic and rich. Recommend the Hazelnut and Passion Fruit. That alone deserves the 5 star rating but I have to say that the customer service stood out just as much. From the moment we walked in we were greeted and the young woman behind the counter helped us navigate the menu with samples and suggestions. She turned our dessert stop into a whole, UNFORGETTABLE, experience!“

“Beautiful place in Wynwood. Simple but super comfortable. We ordered 1 latte with almond milk and a cappuccino. To eat the gluten free brownie. The infusions were delicious, at a very good temperature, something that is not common to find here in Miami. And I'm not lying when I say it's the best brownie I've had in a long time. It's really worth it, we'll be back soon.“

“I recently visited Puroast Coffee in Miami, and it was a fantastic experience. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with colorful art on the walls and cozy seating. I ordered their Greca with milk and a delicious avocado toast. The coffee was perfectly balanced, not too bitter, and the toast was fresh with just the right amount of seasoning. The staff was friendly and took the time to explain the different beans they use. I'll definitely be returning.“

“Nice little cafe in the cool Miracle Mile area with a cool New Yawk connection, and as such I was expecting a lil cooler, funkier decor (maybe more art or something on the walls?) and maybe some more food offerings. As you may know, parking CAN be a challenge in the area sometimes. Carla our barista was NOT grumpy lol. My cappuccino was good but could've been tastier .“

“We hired Koffeeology to welcome back the faculty and staff at Atlantic Technical College & Technical High School in August of 2024. From my initial inquiry on the website until the event was complete, the experience was exceptional. I connected with the owner, Lina Zapata, who explained the service and secured a date for us immediately. She sent an invoice so that we knew the cost and organized the installation of the coffee carts in preparation for an early morning event. The three baristas showed up exactly on time and were ready to serve the guests. Claudia, the assistant to the owner, was delightful and seemed truly happy to be at work. Sebastian takes his love for making coffee and created art! There was one additional barista that was also lovely but I did not catch her name. Overall it was an amazing event and everyone enjoyed! Thank you, Koffeeology!“

“Scheduled a Cruise out of Miami for us to Get Away & Relax we did just that in our transportation to Versailles. Since Carnival would not let me bring the Vette-Jet, we had to get some type of transportation to get around Miami. I was hoping to see James Crockett and borrow his Ferrari Daytona Spyder but I think he moved to San Francisco, changed his name to Nash Bridges and is driving a bright Yellow Plymouth Hemi 'Cuda' (that would also do just fine) - So, with the help from Karen (front desk of our Hotel) I scheduled a Driver to pick us up in a Mercedes and we Relaxed all the way to Versailles - nothing but Class for my Baby. When at the Restaurant, we checked in with the Hostess, who happens to be set up outside by the Front Door with a lot of people all around the patio. Name is on the list and our wait time is only a few minutes. Versailles not only has this Awesome Restaurant, but on the Open Patio they also have a Very Nice Outside Bar - and they also have a Walk-Up Coffee Window where you can obtain their Famous 'Cuban Cafecito', a small shot of Coffee with a sweet, luscious topping called 'la crema' - and that's not all - they also have ''Versailles Bakery" where they sell Pastries, Breads & Desserts made from scratch - and if that isn't enough, they also have "Cafe Versailles" located in Concourse 'D' at Miami International Airport. The Restaurant is open from 8am until Midnight and on Fri & Sat until 1am. This place is Very Popular. Soon our name was called and we where shown to our table. Versailles is Huge inside and our table is in the front part of the restaurant. Upon seating we were handed Menus to look over and soon Liset, our Server, came over. Placed out drink order - "Mojitos" - because when in Miami you order Mojitos. We were looking over the Menus when Lisa brought out our drinks and also waters. There is a lot on the Menu here and it's hard trying to decide - but we did. My Wife is having the "Versailles Salad"; with Chicken Breast, mixed Field Greens with Mango, Candied Pecans & Goat Cheese tossed in a Honey Balsamic Vinaigrette. I am going with their "Imperial Rice"; Rice cooked with Saffron & Deboned Chicken, Mayonnaise, Roasted Red Bell Peppers, Hard Boiled Egg & Green Peas. Served with Sweet Plantains - topped off with Swiss Cheese. While we waited for our food one does a little 'people watching', especially in a city you haven't been to in a while. In, San Angelo you see a lot of Cowboy Hats but none here in Miami. We toasted to 'us' and the Mojitos is the right choice - Very Tasty and Strong on the Mint - and I might ad, Versailles serves Beautiful Mojitos - and it's really good. Soon our food arrived and both plates are a Beautiful Presentation of Deliciousness. My Wife's 'Versailles Salad' has the Chicken Breast all spread out across the top of the Salad - and it's Huge. It looks like it could be a 'Chicken Steak' - and she said it was Tender-Licious and very Flavorful. The Fresh Greens are Delicious and the Candied Pecans are Crunchy-Sweet with the Goat Cheese the only way to go on this Salad. She enjoyed it all. I wanted to try something different and this 'Imperial Rice' is just that. The Swiss Cheese on top is like a Thick Blanket, and I mean THICK - it's Swisslylicious and Very Unique. The Rice is flavorful with all the nice size Deboned Chicken throughout. Their Sweet Plantains are the Best in Miami, even though I have not tried every place in Miami that serves them, but I cannot fathom any place that would be better than this. We finished it all and had no room for Dessert - and I know it would of been Delicious. Liset earned the "Dollar-Bow-Tie" Award for all that she did - and this place was Really Busy. Right when someone leaves their table, a staff member cleans it up, resets it and the next Customer is shown to their table. Nicely organized. The back room is mo“

“Los Tacos de Frida was a fantastic experience! The food was nothing short of excellent, with the mushroom tacos being a standout—rich in flavor and creatively prepared. The passion pineapple mint juice (which didn’t make it to the photos) was refreshing and unique. The staff was attentive and provided great service, enhancing the overall experience. What also stood out was the restaurant’s beautiful and clean atmosphere, with artistic decor that adds to the authentic, vibrant feel.
