China House is a definite mom and pop Chinese restaurant that has a good business and many loyal customers. The Mongolian beef, while having some green peppers and only sliced white onions instead of the usual green onions, lacks the kick from the usual 2-3 red hot peppers, changing the flavor for the worse. The fried rice, while having enough shrimp, lacks depth of flavor. The dinner combo with chicken broccoli has a good-sized portion, but the chicken is not as good as the broccoli and sauce. The crab Rangoon filling is barely noticeable, and the hot and sour soup has unappetizing clumps of jellied liquid, though the egg rolls are good. However, the pan-fried dumplings, General Tso's Chicken with Pork Fried Rice, and spring rolls are all delicious, with the Pork Fried Rice being particularly notable for its slight smoky flavor.
