“Visited The Field recently with a group from work and had a fantastic experience. This Irish pub has always been a favorite, and it didn’t disappoint. The atmosphere is exactly what you’d hope for in a pub - inviting and authentic, making it the perfect backdrop for our evening.The food was a highlight, offering a tasty array of dishes that everyone enjoyed. Everything was cooked to perfection and arrived promptly at our table. The menu seems to cater to a wide range of tastes, ensuring there’s something for everyone.Service at The Field is worth mentioning. It was quick, which was impressive given our large group. Our waiter, Clive, was exceptional. He was not only welcoming but also attentive throughout the evening, ensuring our drinks were always full and our needs met. His energy and dedication to his work were evident, making our dining experience even more enjoyable.The drinks menu was extensive, with a delightful selection that complemented the meal beautifully. “Started off a little shaky. Stood at the bar for about 1 1/2 hours waiting for a table. Asked a waitress if we needed to put our name down and she said yes the hostess seats you. Could not find a hostess so we asked another waitress if we needed to put our name down for a table. She said just seat yourself. The place is packed. A very nice family saw us and said we could have the table after they were finished. We sat down and a waitress took our drink order. Then the hostess told us that this table is for another party. I was very upset. But she made up for it and found us another table. We ended having a very good time with another family waiting for a table. We asked them to join us because our table was big enough and they were waiting for a table for over 2 hours. We will see them next year same place same time. Thank you Waxy’s.“
“Was my first time here. Went for St Patrick's Day. Somehow got a table pretty quickly which was surprising since it was so busy. I think they were doing limited menu since it was the holiday, but still I good selection. Food was good. Drinks were as well. Service was a tad slow, but again, it was holiday so that's too be expected. They had a life band outside, but for whatever reason, the speakers inside didn't play the live music. Definitely a place I will check out again. I think worth a try!“
