Nikko is a restaurant that has been pleasing customers for years, known for its high-quality, fresh ingredients and attentive service. The menu offers a variety of options, with the yakisoba being a standout dish. Many visitors enjoy the delicious sushi, which is authentic and fresh, and the beef tataki, praised for its thinly sliced presentation. The pepper steak and sweet tea remain popular choices, and the tempura is noted as the crispiest in the area. The asparagus tempura appetizer is really good and the fried rice is very tasty. The soup is good and the sunomono is delicious. The owner is super kind and hospitable, and the service is phenomenal, attentive, fast, and friendly. Vegetarian options include veggie rice and fried veggies. The restaurant has a retro, 80s Japanese American decor and is only open for dinner after 5pm. While some may find the decor outdated, regular customers appreciate the consistent, high-quality and flavorful food and the convenience of takeout options. Overall, Nikko is a hidden gem and an excellent authentic pocket in southern Florida that offers a unique and enjoyable dining experience, especially for those in the Homestead area.
