“We stumbled on Sumo Sushi and Steakhouse after shopping at the next door Publix supermarket. The restaurant was almost empty - not a good initial sign. However, there were many bags of take-out dinners stacked on the table nearest to the front door, it seems like this restaurant does A LOT of take out business.\n\nBeing in the mood for sushi and sashimi, we ordered a variety of typical sushi and sashimi items. The food took awhile to prepare, since the chefs seem to be preoccupied with pending take-out orders. However, we also got complementary miso soups to take the edge off our appetites during the wait, the soup was hot and tasty, with bits of seaweed and tofu.\n\nWhen the food arrived everything was very good quality - very fresh fish, generous pieces, and well formed and tasty rice. We also had 2 orders of cooked fish (unagi, i.e. grilled eel) which was expertly grilled, with delicious sauce. \n\nWe were pleasantly surprised with the high quality of the sushi and sashimi, especially in a non-descript strip restaurant, and in a touristy area. Nevertheless, our food and service were very good, and we highly recommend Sumo. A personal comment - try to eat your food in the restaurant, I don't think that sushi, sashimi, and grilled steaks travel well in take-out meals.“

“Ehhh not necessarily family friendly. Came 2 weeks ago with my 3 littles for lunch. Our waitress was AMAZING!! The waitress who brought our food not so much. She argued with myself and my 6 year old son about the pickle with his meal. The pickle is included with a kids burger meal right?! I paid for it right? My special needs son cried, I was embarrassed for him and she finally brought one. Needless to say I will waste my gas to go to the beachside location and not this one. I can’t not have that happen again with my kids and she needs more training. Blonde with braided pig tails. We came around 11:30 on 6/39/2025. I’ve never been so embarrassed in my life. She needs more training or to be fired. Again will not ever return with my 3 kids and this has been a favorite place since our first child in 2015 and just us since 2013. After it was sold, it was turned into a joint that wallowed in bad food and even worse service. As I said, that was four years ago. I have since deleted that review. Now, I can say that it is safe to return to the water, but I get ahead of myself. What changed? The new owner/chef is a CIA graduate who did his externship at Michelin Star restaurant Gramercy Tavern in New York City. Emerson Krause turned down a position at the famed restaurant upon graduation to return home and bring Brevard a taste of things seldom sampled in this part of the Sunshine State. I can safely speak for all of my fellow Floridians on the Space Coast when I say, "Thank you, Emerson and welcome home!" After being seated at a delightfully decorated table (I love the paint scheme on the chairs), we were approached by a charming lady named Nicole. Nicole was outstanding in every way a service professional should be. I asked Nicole for an order of the Bacon Sea Salt French Toast, one Texan Potato Stack and a San Antonio Biscuit Bennie. Snapping a few quick pics of the warm environs, I sat back, soaked in the peaceable atmosphere and awaited Nicole's return. The aromas were enticing to such a degree; it was all I could do to take some pictures before digging into the edible artwork before me. First to saunter across my palate was a taste of the Bacon Sea Salt French Toast. One taste and I was deep in Hog Heaven. That bacon! While I love "meat candy" more than almost any other animal flesh, that is not what set this order of the tried and true breakfast staple of French Toast apart. It was the bread and execution. This bread was fresh, thick and griddled to a delightful golden brown. The outside had just the right amount of crunch, while the inside was airy, fresh and wonderfully warm. I could eat this every day and never tire of it. Heaving a sad sigh of regret, I moved on to the next dish to be sampled, the Texan Potato Stack. Every Potato Stack is served with eggs over easy on herb roasted potatoes and topped with jack cheddar cheese sauce with your choice of toast or biscuit. The Texan came with added chorizo, onion, peppers, salsa, guacamole and sour cream. One bite and again, I was done. The flavors cascaded down my gullet like so many drops of gastronomical gratification. The last to dance across my taste buds this morning was the San Antonio Biscuit Bennie. I won't bore you with any more details; suffice it to say that this was on par with the rest of the meal. Everything was cooked to perfection and the flavor combinations were unparalleled in a breakfast biscuit (if this still qualifies as such). The Big Boy says, "If it is breakfast or lunchtime, stop what you are doing and go there right now."“

Aiden and Jayden took excellent care of us… the beers were absolutely phenomenal. We sampled many and enjoyed every single one! We are a bit snobbish on craft beers and this place hit all our top marks! We ordered the brisket burger with onion rings and it was recommended to try the barbecue sauce with it by Jaden. Honestly, it was absolutely fabulous. All of their sauces are homemade, including the honey mustard in the ranch dippy’s that we got. We had the privilege to meet the brewmaster and we had to shake his hand because he has done a phenomenal job. “Been struggling with DoorDash. Have been going to Siam for almost 20 years. Went on Dash and they didn’t have our TR roll. Went to Siam’s website, ordered online, best take out sushi ever. They have a dedicated driver for the store, no garbage fees etc. same price as the store. Highly recommend the TR Roll and Volcano Chicken steamed ( sorry I think that’s special but it’s so so good that way ). Never 1 bad meal and now the ability to have delivery 🚚 rocks“
