“Food was great! I had the avocado scramble with the hollandaise on the side (which was a great idea if you’re not a die hard hollandaise fan). You get the real diner feel when you are in there. Server was busy but still nice and attentive. Unlimited coffee refills is a nice touch.“
“I absolutely love Diners! And Oceana did not disappoint. Once I saw they serve Liver and Onions for lunch I knew I had to go. My friend and I arrived after the lunch rush ready for some comfort food. We were greeted by Santa anxiously awaiting his next phone call. We settled into a booth and were greeted by our server. She quickly returned with delicious sweet tea just like my grandma made. It wasn't long before our liver, onions, real mashed potatoes and vegetable medley arrived. It was everything I hoped for. It was, Rainey, damp and the perfect comfort food for our late afternoon lunch. Their menu is vast starting with an awesome breakfast and then lunch with several comfort food choices, sandwiches and salads. The food was delicious, service was great and upon leaving Santa advised I had made the nice list!“
“We have eaten here several times and it is consistently excellent. We went for Sunday brunch and there was a wait. However, tables were bussed quickly and the servers did a great job handling all of the tables. The food was delicious. I had the avocado toast which was slices of avocado with pico de gallo and a drizzle of balsamic, I believe. It was so fresh and tasty and very different from other avocado toasts I have tried. Fresh fruit was very fresh and flavorful and the roast beef sandwich was basic but delicious. They use a great marbled rye bread. During the week they also make homemade soups which are definitely worth trying.“
“Very beach like vibe. Very laid back atmosphere. Usually, the service and food are good. They serve breakfast and lunch. Only one time recently, both myself and my husband were very disappointed in our meals and service. That being said, everyone deserves an off day. I would still recommend giving it a try.“
“We have been coming to Metro Diner regularly since we have been living in Jacksonville. Its always a great place for us to eat our breakfast. Today I had the western omelet. My wife had the Bissell breakfast. We both had English muffins, hashbrowns and coffee. As usual the food was really good, the coffee was delicious and the service is always great. We love the indoor and outdoor dining options. Our waitress today was Christina. By the way...our hashbrowns are not burnt. We always request extra crispy hashbrowns. They are delicious. We appreciated the quick and accurate service. Keep up the great work Metro.“
