Community Loaves Reviews
This is one of my favorite places to get breakfast, it feels like home and they always go far and beyond to satisfy my needs when it comes to plates that are not in the menu; if they have it they will make it for you. Thank you!
Doubt I’ll be back. This was my first time there, so the young lady who was at the pastry counter didn’t have to be so curt. Then, upon me leaving, I nicely asked where were the bins for trash, (as I ate outside), and the same person said, “oh, only this one time only I’ll take it, but the trash bins are on the inside dining room”.
Well, how was I supposed to know or see that, henhouse, when I was clearly sitting outside. Anyway; yeah, I won’t be back.

Community Loaves is a charming restaurant located in Edgewood, offering a lovely atmosphere both indoors and outdoors. The staff are friendly and welcoming, making it a perfect spot for brunch with family or friends. The menu features a variety of sweet and savory options, including freshly baked goods, sandwiches, and pancakes. The strawberry jam is a standout, with a perfect balance of sweetness and freshness. The strawberry sourdough pancake is a must-try, with its soft and fluffy texture. The restaurant also offers a selection of drinks, including strawberry lemonade and latte. Many customers enjoy the outdoor seating area to relax while enjoying treats, and the indoor space provides a cozy environment, sometimes with AC. The sourdough bread is highly praised, with some visitors bringing home a gorgeous loaf of it. The restaurant has a small desk with toys, making it kid-friendly and perfect for families. The wooden toys and mural on the wall add a charming touch.
Recent reviews highlight that the food is a 10/10, with many saying it’s phenomenal. Customers praise the coffee, lavender syrup, quiche, danish, croissant, sourdough, and butter. Visitors also appreciate that the restaurant uses a local native nursery to ensure native plants thrive, making it a fun way to pass the wait time while looking at the plants. The place can get crowded on Saturday mornings, so planning ahead is advised, but many say it’s worth the visit.
Sourdough lovers must visit, as the sourdough bread has a pleasant taste, even if not sour like San Francisco sourdough. The cardamom roll pairs well with coffee, and the seasonal sweet potato latte is considered tasty. Some quiches can be undercooked, which affects the flavor, and the morning bun with icing, arriving once a year, is highly recommended. The sourdough pancakes, when properly prepared, pair well with berries or apples, though they tend to be undercooked sometimes. Overall, Community Loaves is a wonderful bakery with room to grow, and many look forward to seeing how the bakers improve in the future.
