Sal's Ballyhoo's Reviews
We stopped here for lunch on our way to Key West. The meal was delicious, and the key lime pie was out of this world! Ronald Williams provided the best service. I highly recommend Sal's Ballyhoo's!
Wow! What an incredible place. Great staff and incredible food! Generous and high quality portions.
Also if anyone is vegetarian, vegan or gluten is an issue they have a whole separate menu!
Can’t recommend more!

Sal's Ballyhoo's is a restaurant in Key Largo that offers delicious food, friendly and accommodating service, and a laid-back atmosphere. Standout dishes include the BBQ shrimp appetizer, Captain's Platter, fresh gumbo, New Orleans style peel n' eat shrimp, and skirt steak with sweet potato fries. The Key Lime Pie is also a must-try. The restaurant features a vegan menu with clearly labeled options, such as the Joe vs the Volcano salad and black bean soup with grilled cheese. Customers have praised the freshness of the ingredients, especially the green beans and Mahi (Hemingway style), as well as the sweet tea and sweet potato casserole. Portions are large, ensuring that no one leaves hungry. Although the ambiance between the two streets could be improved, Sal's Ballyhoo's remains a popular spot for both locals and tourists, receiving high marks for its lovely atmosphere and attentive service. Recent visits have highlighted the quality of the dishes like snow crab legs, Blackened Mahi Taco, and the hook and cook options prepared macadamia crusted, cast iron, and Hemingway, all praised for their flavor. The inside is well kept and friendly servers make the experience enjoyable. The Key Lime Pie continues to be a favorite among visitors.
