Ponderosa Steakhouse

This Ponderosa restaurant is a scam. It is not a steak house as it calls itself. Its buffet does not include steak. I do not rate it as a good buffet.

This is the kind of restaurant you see in a horror movie. The food they serve in jail is likely better. I couldn’t tell if the pasta was over or undercooked and I’m pretty sure the chicken clucked back at me. Do yourself a favour and never ever speak of this place.

$180 for a dinner of 5. You pay before eating and are asked for a tip before as well. Food is very dry and not budget friendly.

On July 17,2024 around 3:30pm, I was enjoying lunch with my husband and two kids. When all of the suddenly, we witness two of your employees having an argument aloud. One was a white girl and the other Hispanic. The white girl was cursing, using a lot of profanity words and insulting the Hispanic girl. I don't know what was all that about but it was an unpleasant experience for all of us, especially around my kids. I won't be coming back or recommending this place to no one.

Youthful memory when the Ponderosas were in Canada. I really enjoyed reliving this experience.

It is the last location in Florida and will likely disappear soon. Little selection at the buffet, the entries at $16 plus the 4.99 buffet are too expensive.

Yeah I mean for a buffet this was pretty terrible and I know what to expect for a buffet, I went here a few years ago and remember it being much better with a soft serve icecream bar and everything. For a western themed restaurant about the only thing western in there was the pictures on the wall. The music they played in there ruined the vibe, who wants to eat dinner to rap music and Ariana grande at a western sit down… the food was mediocre at best, because of all the fond memories the minimal times I’ve been to this specific ponderosa I tried hard to find at least one good thing about it. And the only thing I could find is the waiter was very friendly, but all the food was terrible even the dessert. How do you F up Mac and cheese. Reminded me of when you go over to someone’s house for dinner and have to smile through their wife’s cooking. If I could have gotten a refund I would have. Also because the food was so terrible I left a 12 dollar tip around 15 percent of the price of my food and the waiter said “wow a whole 12 dollars” sarcastically … like all you did is bring me drinks I basically served my own dinner. Why would I tip more then that considering the food was horrible, not the waiters fault but if it was a good experience I would have tipped more

My favorite restaurant even while inside my mommy's womb. She ate it every day while pregnant with me. To this day the best fried chicken wings i have ever tasted. Also, a very unique seasoning to their steaks. Never tasted something similar. LONG LIVE PONDEROSA!!!

Before coming here, stop in the woods and eat a piece of bark off of a tree it will taste better. Or if you see fresh Roadkill and get it and cook it before coming to the Ponderosa restaurant.
