“I love this place, however I had an experience on 5/1 that I wasn’t thrilled with and it’s very difficult to find a way to contact to give feedback so I had to resort to a FB review. My mom and I visited on 5/1. Our server spilled most of a Champagne Papi onto my lap. I totally understand mistakes happen, however, not once did anyone ask me if I needed anything. The server (I have the name but don’t want to blast all over FB) never asked me if I was Ok, she just simply said she’d be right back with another one, but it was all of the floor, my shorts, my shirt and splashed my mom across the table. I thought maybe she’d be right back with napkin or towel but she didn’t, so I went to the bathroom to try to clean up, but so surprised that no one ever followed up with me. I’m not sure if maybe she was so embarrassed that she didn’t want to tell anyone, or what happened, but I sat in wet shorts the entire time. Thankfully, the pink dye came out of everything, but still am surprised no one ever checked in. Maybe this is standard for you guys, but I wanted to share in case this is not normal.“

“Stopped in a little over a week ago for lunch with my wife while visiting family in the area for the holidays. Came in blind never hearing about Bubbakoo's and left very happy. The guys working there were super friendly and accommodating. They did a great job preparing the food and beer prices were lower than some bars in the area. The manager even set us up by the tvs, turned on a football game we were interested in, and brought out all the food once it was prepared.

On a side note we tried visiting a Bubbakoo's nearby back home and my wife agrees it was not nearly as good. Not to say anything bad, but rather how GOOD this location is!
Definitely worth stopping in, we will likely be back next time we are in town.“

“Stepped in for a quick lunch and it was quick indeed. The food was ready in less than ten minutes. I ordered the lunch chicken chimichanga and it was hot, crispy and tasty. I had a fantastic server Michelle, who was kind , efficient , friendly and fast. I will be sure to ask for her the next time I visit. “I ordered the tamarind margarita and carne asada. The margarita was good. The steak was very thin and chewy, it was also under seasoned. For a thin cut of steak like that they should tenderize it. Chips, table salsa and queso dip were good.“

My husband ordered chile rellnos and to his shock and delight there was a chile NOT buried in a ton of soggy breading. It was stellar!!! As a South Texan, I am picky when it comes to Mexican food, and this place gets it right every single time. My regular order is the asada tacos with pineapple agua fresca and their elote—an unbeatable combo. I’ve also tried their gorditas, tortas, taquitos, and the rice and beans, and I’ve never once been disappointed. The fresh salsa and toppings bar is chef’s kiss.

Some people mention the tacos are small, but that’s because they’re authentic street taco size—double tortillas, packed full of flavorful meat, and absolutely delicious. Honestly, they’re a steal for the quality and portion.

The staff is always kind and welcoming, and I truly hope this place gets all the popularity it deserves. A true hidden gem that I’m finally happy to share!“
