“A delightful little Greek bistro gem in Lauderdale-by-the-Sea. The service is a little slow out of the gate but the food is terrific and definitely worth the wait. Our favorites are the seafood (Branzino and fish special) and the Lamb Shank with Orzo and feta cheese. The Greek Salad is top notch, too. The complimentary pita is oven fired with fresh hummus or a yogurt-inspired seafood dip. They have a unique selection of Eastern European beers, too, which is a refreshing alternative to the usual list. I has the Czech Pilsner and the rest of the table went with the Greek Chardonnay which was pretty good! As locals, we've dined here before and will definitely return.“

“Florie, our server was everything! There is some beautification construction going on, but she has created an outdoor space with twinkling lights, plants and outdoor seating to accommodate all their customers. It was really neat to see a restaurant making something beautiful out of a tough situation. She was so welcoming and the food was awesome! Love the sauce they give with the Greek style fries! 5 stars would recommend.“

“Another great score: my new neighborhood includes a an authentic, family-owned Greek spot, The Gyro Joint, with amazing food & friendly service not even 2 minutes away! This is already the 2nd time this week my sister & I have gotten their food. My only gripe so far is that they're not open later than 9pm! Already confirmed their gyros are the bomb so tried wings tonight and they did not disappoint! Crispy, meaty, & served with a tasty housemade dipping sauce. Deeeeelish! Can't wait to try more!“

“Across-the-board, this place is outstanding! My friend, and I went to two other pizzerias before she suggested that we come to Kosta's. Being from NY we don't eat just any pizza! We went to Bruscos and they acted like we were invisible, so we left. Kosta's greeted us like family! When they asked if we had ever been there my friend told them she had but I hadn't and we were looking for pizza ! The owner immediately threw a slice of pizza in the oven and split it between us to sample! It was incredible! I ordered a pie , a Greek house salad and 3 different types of desserts to bring home to my hubby who is now also hooked! Our waiter Nick provided service that we haven't seen in a while! He was friendly knew the menu entirely at suggested dishes that he thought we would like, because he loved them! He really made our day after the complete rudeness at Bruscos! We will be back! Thank you so much for the great food , ambiance, , friendly service and attention to detail! If you are in the area place is a MUST!“

“It’s a really good Mediterranean restaurant. Greek salad, octopus and grilled shrimp are delicious. Gyros was average, tasted like the one you could get at Trader Joe’s. Really good Greek rose. Really nice service, no reservations are taken but they accommodate you pretty quickly. Valet service for parking.“

“The food is very good it’s comforting, it’s delicious! That’s all disguised by an underwhelming atmosphere, the place needs a refresh a fave lift. The service was ok, perhaps too distracted for my likens. I get being busy. However, when you come to the table, slow down and acknowledge the “people” you’re serving. You will never be disappointed with the flavors and the authenticity of the food…“

“Probably our favorite breakfast spot in Fort Lauderdale. We hail from "diner country" in the northeast. Joe's was recommended by a friend. We were a little skeptical of a diner in a shopping center, but Joe's delivers a very good breakfast at a fair price. It's become our non-diner diner.“

“We were in the area for Tortuga Music Festival and came here both Saturday and Sunday morning for breakfast. We sat in the same booth and had the same waitress both times. Eileen was so nice and welcoming, the atmosphere was warm and cozy, and the food was delicious! We ordered the waffle combo and Philly Cheesesteak omelet the first day and both were absolutely delicious! We ordered the blueberry pancakes and the country breakfast the next day and again perfection. I would highly recommend you stop here for great casual and affordable dining experience!!“

“We stopped here for dinner with our family of 5 (kids range from age 11 to 5 months old), and enjoyed a wonderful dinner. My kids loved the pita bread and roasted red pepper butter they brought to the table at the start of the meal. The spanikopita and baked feta were delicious appetizers. My husband and I shared the whole fish and the gyro platter. The fish was cooked perfectly and the gyro meat was some of the best I've ever had. It was thicker and less greasy than your typical gyro meat. My sons split their burger from the regular menu as the two kids' meal options didn't appeal to them (buttered noodles or chicken tenders). They loved the burger and the fries were exceptionally good. Splitting the burger entree was a good call because the burger was MASSIVE and was more than enough food for them. We also brought home and entire takeout box filled with extra fries that I'm sure my kids will enjoy crisped back up in the oven. :) The ambience was nice - like upscale casual. Could be a great date night spot or place to meet up with friends, but in our case worked well for our family dinner. Giving 4 stars instead of 5 only because the initial vibe walking in felt a bit stale (the staff warmed up quickly though) and, although not a big deal, one of the servers had some confusion twice bringing the wrong food to our table.“

“My daughter found this place, and we decided to stop in. We were both glad we did. It was a perfect cheesesteak. Better than what you can get in Philly. Perfect bun, steak, cheese, etc. It was all made and served fresh. We will definitely be going back. Price is good too. Staff was friendly as well.“

Compliments to the chef/owner indeed. It’s worth working your way through the menu starting out at the top!The portions are generous and the premises is always clean.“

“A few years back some friends brought spinach pie from this place to my home and it was delicious. I've driven by hundreds of times and I finally stopped and had lunch with a friend. I had the lamb / beef gyro combo with a Greek salad. The gyro was so good!! I saw in the heating case roasted chicken and big pieces of potato that looked delicious I was too full for dessert however they have a full line of Greek desserts including baklava and cookies. They sell different products such as olives and oil. The place is rather run down, it has a few tables and chairs to sit at inside. I wish they would clean it up a little bit“

“Yesterday, 2.17.22; my Co-worker and I decided to TRIED to eat healthy... [Oh!] I did go here last week with a friend of mine for lunch, but forgot to write a review, but hey as always better late than never :) It was a bit tricky getting there at first when I went last week, but yesterday I was able to direct my co-worker on where to go and park. Parking is (Pay-to-park), there are limited parking spots though -- so good luck if you find one haha :) [Athena Must Have Greek] is located right across from the 17th Judicial Circuit of Florida -Judicial Complex. Plus, there are other Offices around the restaurant. I think it is nice that people can walk over and grab a bite to eat there - it is convenient for them. As opposed to people who are not close to the restaurant, ahmmm like my co-worker and I lol, but the 5 min drive was not bad :) Anyways, my Co-worker and I had found parking to be not too bad. Once we paid for parking, we started walking to [Athena Must Have Greek]. There were other small restaurants near the place. [Short-Funny Convo] As we were walking, My Co-worker (loves to joke).. Said, "At least the Sheriffs' can protect my food in case someone decides to take it from me." I chuckled and told her "Last week, when I went with my friend, I came across a friendly Sheriff. If I spot him, I got you." :) Once we entered, we noticed it was not that packed. We did arrive close to closing. Though, last week when I went with my friend, it was packed and where do I go ? I try to go to a corner LOL. We both quickly ordered a... Greek Salad ~To-Go! Haha :) Greek Salad: ~ $8.41 Mixed greens, tomatoes, cucumbers ,olives, onions, pepperoncini and feta cheese with a side of Greek dressing -- Extra for Grilled Chicken: $3.75 The wait was not that long. The staff handed our orders to us and told us to have a great day ! We got out food and brought it back to the office so we can get rocking and rolling back to work! Overall, we loved their salad. Especially the grilled chicken, it was not dry at all. [Oh!] I do like how they put the dressing on the salad. No bueno if my salad is soggy haha :) In my book, [Athena Must Have Greek] would be considered a cute hole in the wall. I would recommend my Yelpers to give it a try :) Below is the Link: When you click the link, you will see their 'Breakfast Menu'. Click the big caps 'BREAKFAST', then you have the option to click 'ONLINE 10:45AM-2:05PM'. Finally the Menu will show up!“
“Located on 17th Street (in between a Holiday Inn Express to its left and an Embassy Suites to its right) this place provides the quality Carrabba's Italian dining experience. I ordered the chicken marsala - very tender chicken in their tasty mushroom marsala sauce. Their standard Sicilian chicken soup is excellent as well.“

“Love the place! the portions are great and so is service. Unfortunately the last couple times I encountered something wrong. Gave it a 2nd try and I won't be back. While the ladies are kind and fast at such a busy shop, I have seen a lady touching her face (nose) and then scratch her face with her gloves on and back to preparing food with the same gloves. The next visit, she went to the back room and was quick with her phone with gloves on and returned to preparing food with said gloves.. If anything, I would prefer she change her gloves when she is touching other "personal items" when returning to food. I hope this is not to get anyone in trouble but to be more sanitary.Parking: Hope to return soon.“

“I am a Greek fan so when I was out with some of my employees and saw it was lunchtime, I had to pull out my Yelp app to see what options there was and came across this restaurant. I walked in and there was a short line but the cashier was taking orders pretty quickly. They had a board with some specials but I came for the gyro. One employee had the veggie gyro as he is vegetarian and the other had a gyro like me. The pita was warmed which is a good sign. The tzatziki had a nice consistency. There was a lot of meat in the gyro. All together it was delicious. Fries were hot. Best of all was the price- I want to say less than 10 dollars for the gyro, fries and a fountain drink.“

“I got the Greek omelette with has brown and rye toast, and it was amazing! And the fresh squeezed OJ put the meal over the top! “Amazing little cafe! We were visiting FLL and this place was within walking distance from our hotel. My husband had the ham & cheese omelet. He said it was one of the best he's ever had. The grits were real grits - not instant. Our waitress was delightful! So sweet & so friendly! Do yourself a favor - stop here!!“

“We had a very nice experience at Thasos this week. First, it's very nice they don't rush you along with your meal. The interior is very inviting and calming and that is how the meal is handled. We had a variety of meals including fish, beef, and chicken. All were done extremely well and very satisfying. Definitely worth returning to. However I have two comments. Previous reviewers mentioned loud music. I spoke with a manager and although they will have music on Fri and Sat nights, the musician has been instructed that this should be music to dine by and a pleasant background. Hopefully, the entertainment will now be something pleasing vs disturbing. 2nd, the gratuity is automatically added to the bill. None of us noticed this on the menu nor recall the waiter stating it. It was clearly written on the check when delivered. The bad part is that we likely would have provided the waiter a cash tip as well as a higher percentage if it was done the old-fashioned way. Meaning, let the customer make the decision. We have become savvy at looking for additional charges on the bill as this is sadly becoming the norm.“

“I ordered through Uber Eats and had a great meal. They had a buy one get one offer for lunch which makes it more reasonable, especially when ordering through delivery with all of the fees. I ordered the Gyro bowl where you create your own and add your toppings. There is a decent assortment of toppings available, I do wish they had a few more to add though. It was a solid portion, rice, veggies and gyro meat all tasted great. Loved the tzatziki sauce that they use on top. The meat was a little salty but I personally enjoy it that way, other people might not though. I've eaten a gyro here before and it was good but portion was much smaller, so if you are looking for a solid portion for lunch/dinner I would definitely recommend getting the bowl!“

“My family and I have been eating at gyromania for about a year and we love it. It's light-hearted environment is warm and welcoming yet simply. They food however is fantastic! So much to choose from and so healthy. I typically order the same thing each time as I'm a creature of habit. Shiskabob chicken which comes with a side salad and some of the best rice I've eaten. The crew are always polite and welcoming as well.“

“This little Greek bistro in LBTS is a gem. The food is terrific and the hustle bustle is just right. Be patient because service can be a bit slow, but always friendly. The owner took our order and made us feel like we were in her home. The food is worth the wait. Warm, wood-fired complimentary pita with hummus was delicious and our meals (Greek Salad, Black grouper [special] and lamb shank w/orzo) were delightful. They have a great wine and beer selection, especially Eastern European beers. We enjoyed the Czech Pilsner and the Greek Chardonnay and will be back again.“
