We had the Jerk Plaintain, Thai style Charred cabbage salad, which had some great tasting pork, sweet and tangy wings and the Thai style crab fried rice. Can’t wait to go back and try the snapper.“

“We dined at Casa Playa last night for a family get together and it was perfect! The ambience is open, contemporary and serene. Wall-to-wall, floor-to-ceiling glass, blonde wood furniture, bright white walls, and a colorful palm mural on one wall, is welcoming and confident. The artwork is in the food. We started with Peruvian style calamari which was crisply coated with an audible crunch. The chicken and beef Argentinian empanadas were baked pockets of lusciously seasoned meat. Other appetizers include crispy pork belly, spicy tuna tartar guacamole, and fresh ceviche. Several of us had the Ropa Vieja which our grandson delighted in telling us meant "old clothes." The flank steak was slow cooked in a well spiced tomato sauce with onions and peppers, then shredded to soak up all of the lively flavors. It was served with a mound of white rice, tasty black beans, and chunks of sweet maduros. Other dishes enjoyed by our family included shrimp, chimichurri steak, and mojo marinated pork.
The service was thoughtful and attentive and the evening was very enjoyable.

“My husband and I found this little corner of heaven on our 15-year anniversary. We were worried that the small bites on the menu were not going to satisfy our hunger, but they were more than enough, on top of being delicious. The "tuna tartare tower" is my favorite, but they have lots of other appetizers that will please a variety of tastes. The libations are excellent as well as unique. Worth a try, if just for that.I heard they had love music, but that's not what made us try the joint. However, Angels Piano and her beautiful repertoire of songs is what made us stay till closing.
