“This visit was extremely special and I am grateful for the amazing staff they are very friendly and done a magnificent job. Compliments to the managers and the staff team and crew. The food was amazingly delicious. And the atmosphere was so awesome. For the first time I had my meal paid for my someone I didn’t even know I a special day to me, celebrating Father’s Day and my daughter who was born a month ago today. Thank you to Po Folk for being a part of Bay county for so long, this location will always have me and my family coming back time and time again.“

“Highly recommend this place! We went there for dinner on a Monday evening. We were there right at sunset and the views were absolutely amazing. Josh was the bartender at the bar, super friendly and super knowledgeable about the area and the restaurant! Our server, Ava was super responsive and knew the menu very well! We had grouper, crab cakes, and the short ribs. All were delicious, reasonably priced and very tasty. I highly recommend anyone going here with family and friends for a delicious meal and wonderful view at a local gem!!“

“Arrived at 10:05 for lunch because breakfast ended at 10:00. One server took our drink order and said our server would be taking our order shortly. 10 minutes later she took our order. Meanwhile over the next 30 minutes several customers arrived and were served drinks and meals. Our server returned a couple of times with excuses why our food wasn't ready. After waiting patiently for 1 hour we got up and left. No one approached us to ask why we were leaving. This was our first visit to Big Mamas and will not be returning.“

“I came in just looking for lunch and left with a full-on spiritual experience.

First of all—fried ribs?! I genuinely thought my family was the only group of people out here frying ribs like that, so imagine my excitement. And let me tell you… they did NOT disappoint. Crispy, flavorful, and cooked with the kind of love you can taste.

The mac & cheese, collard greens, and rice & gravy? My food didn’t just taste good—it touched my spirit. Like sit-back-for-a-second-and-process-your-life kind of good.

And then… the grape Kool-Aid. Listen. I don’t know who back there decided to unlock childhood memories, but that first sip took me straight back to a part of my life I forgot even existed.

If you’re looking for fancy, this ain’t it. But if you’re looking for real, comforting, soul-hugging food that feels like home—you need to be here.

“We food breakfast while staying at the hotel. Food was good not great but good, but expected more from service. Coffee arrived way before food and one was cold. The answer was we just press a button and the machine makes it so what do you want to do? You want in re made or something else to drink? I know I don't want cold coffee unless I order a cold brew. Next we had our coffees. There was sugar yet nothing to stir. When someone finally noticed us, asked for something to stir our coffees. They brought 1 spoon. Guess sharing is in style. We do have to come back since we payed already for breakfast for our stay. Not sure if id do it again next time.
Edit. The rest of the days we sat closer to the bar and we got Felix as waiter. He's just wonderful, no issues at all no cold coffee or anything. Still won't give 5 cos of our server on the first day. Big huge shout out to Felix.“

“I already love Slim chickens and it's one of my favorite places to go for a quick dinner, but tonight the two girls with the window were just so sweet, give me exactly what I asked for in regards to extras like sauces and were just both so cute and kind. I hope they have a great night and I hope they enjoyed the sunset 🩵“

“Small place with a beautiful inside. It appeared to be two people running the place but they welcomed our party of 8.

Food came out hot,fresh, and very delicious.
Staff was super nice. We definitely enjoyed our visit and so glad we chose this spot for breakfast. If we are ever in the area again we will most definitely return.“
