Arrived at 10:05 for lunch because breakfast ended at 10:00. One server took our drink order and said our server would be taking our order shortly. 10 minutes later she took our order. Meanwhile over the next 30 minutes several customers arrived and were served drinks and meals. Our server returned a couple of times with excuses why our food wasn't ready. beautiful location, cute and cozy country-chic decor. the sodas are EXTRA crispy, and the PORTIONS??!!! I ordered the grilled shrimp and there were SO many. seasoned to perfection, as was the steamed cabbage. I'm going home to take a nap. best lunch I've had in a long time

The food is absolutely off the charts, offering tasty, home-cooked meals that are always good and not expensive. Popular breakfast items include the huge sausage egg and cheese biscuit, country fried steak with gravy, biscuit and potatoes or home fries, grits, and pancakes bigger than the plate. The bacon is baked to perfection and the coffee is delicious. The lunch menu offers daily specials where you select your meat and then two sides. Despite sometimes being very busy, the service is great, with polite staff who ensure a pleasant visit. The experience is well worth any wait.
