The Place Downtown is an incredible local restaurant and pub, popular among both locals and tourists. It offers great food and good service, with fun pictures on the walls that entertain kids. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible, with ample space for guests with mobility needs. Despite being busy, the servers manage to provide excellent care. Dishes like the solid BLT with generous bacon portions are a highlight. Recently, customers have praised the blackened shrimp Alfredo special, noting that it was amazing and perfectly cooked. The antipasto eggrolls have been described as incredible and crunchy. The chicken bites are fried perfectly and served in generous portions. Guests have also enjoyed the comfortable atmosphere, and the friendly staff, including a waiter named Shelton, has gained recognition for providing exceptional service. The cheese steak is highly recommended as one of the best items on the menu.
