“Houndstooth is one of my favorite restaurants! We visit all the time for lunch and bring our pups with us. They have doggy photos on the wall from all the dogs who visit. The sandwiches and sides are so yummy, all handmade! Service is top notch, always quick to get your food and checking with you constantly afterwards to make sure you're enjoying everything. We will always come back here for a good meal, can't wait for the next visit! “My husband and I frequent this terrific restaurant often, primarily the Oviedo location.. We love everything about it. The quality of the food is superior, always lean meat, great selections and love the fact that service members are honored. Patriotism is on full display, especially at noon when customers/employees alike stand for the playing of the national anthem. The restaurant is clean, people are very friendly, as they greet you when you come in the door. Heather, especially recognizes everyone and welcomes you, a very friendly and positive person. The atmosphere is positive also due to all the terrific employees. Dianah walks around the restaurant asking if a person at the table served in the military and you are thanked for your service. She always has a smile on her face as she asks if you need anything. A very caring employee with a great attitude as well as all the employees. And you get to add the star for an up charge to any pizza you would like, I definitely recommend doing this! Service was really nice. It does get busy in here, I don't know if you could have a reservation. I would definitely try to make a reservation if you can! I have been really picky on my wine lately, and their white wine is great! They do let you sample it before you buy which is nice. Their pizza was not overly filling due to the light breading. I would definitely recommend an entire pie for two people. It is so delicious he won't be able to stop eating it!“

“Great sandwich shop, the staff was nice and gave great suggestions. The dining area is fairly small, but as long as you don't have a big group, it's perfect (there were three of us this time around). They seem to have a nice specials board that I'm told changes frequently, which is a nice reason to try new things on future visits. I would 100% recommend getting "the knight," and apparently, the tomato bisque goes great with "the ninja." Overall, I will definitely be going back when I get the chance!“

The staff was friendly and helpful. Thought I probably should have tried what they recommended. I went for the jambalaya and added blackened crawfish. It had such amazing flavor. The house hurricane was perfect. But I wish I had ordered the purple haze. That purple haze was awesome. Last but not least, I ordered the traditional beignets, and they were so soft, moist, and delicious. To say that I was stuffed was and understatement. I will definitely be back.“

They are mostly known for their Roast Beef sandwiches. It looked like the 70s inside of there. “My daughter has gone here a million times with her mom and grandparents, but I have never been here. Let me tell you that looks are deceiving. Outside is a normal facade in an older plaza... BUT once you step inside.... you are transported to this modern and chic environment ... very nice and inviting. The service is excellent. You are greeted by a friendly representative ready to take you on your food adventure. The menu is very easy to understand and broken down in sections. You choose your dish and your protein. Let me tell you about the appetizers. I absolutely love summer rolls. Any Thai place I go to I ask for them and I judge them by their peanut sauce. The peanut sauce here is warm and delicious. I could not stop dipping my rolls into the sauce and thought about asking for more. DELICIOUS! I also ventured to try the tulip dumplings. The dumplings are not for everyone because of the type of sauce that is used, but I would recommend ordering this with friends so that everyone can try them since everyone's pallet is different. Now onto the main plates. My daughter orders the Phad Woon Sen which is glass noodles in a savory sweet sauce, often accompanied with tomato egg, onions, and scallion. If there is something you don't want in it, you can tell them and they will prepare it how you wish. Now, I absolutely love Phad Thai. I always order it at a Thai restaurant and judge them by this as well. This Phad Thai was one of the best I have ever had. Not too sweet, but just right. I ordered it with chicken, but you could choose any protein you want. And you can always tell them what spice level you want. Mine was not spicy, but I do love spice so I asked them for some of the sauces and they brought me three little jars. One had peanuts one had a powdery spice and the other was a sauce. Two of them, of course were hot and spicy and I loved it and put it on my Phad Thai. I fell in love with those little spice jars so much I gave them names, Winken Blinken and Nod... LOL!!!!! ...oh and I did want more peanut sauce, so my daughter told them to give me more but the one that was on the spicy side and it was awesome. Obviously, if you're not into spice, you don't have to get things that are spicy but if you are into spice, you have to try, what they have here. I am definitely coming back with or without my daughter..... LOL!!!!“

“Lacomka is located in a strip mall with plenty of parking. The majority of the space is for a Russian/Ukraine/Georgian grocery store. There are tons of items I remember from my childhood (my grandparents were Russian and Polish immigrants) like Farmer Cheese and herring and halvah. I used Google Translate to figure out what everything was. In the back is a little cafe area. We didn't know if we ordered at the counter and then sat down but no, you sit down and the cafe area is full service (15% gratuity is automatically added). We ordered a selection of items. I got the red borscht which comes with beef and potatoes and is served hot. I ended up really liking it but it was different than the cold red borscht that my grandmother used to make. I also tried the Compot(e), which is a cold fruit juice which is sweetened. It was very good and went well with the food. My entree was the chicken paprikash which was delicious although a little spicy for me. My dining companions had less luck with their selections. They ordered the Pirozhki, which is fried dough around potatoes and cabbage. They liked the cabbage one but thought the potatoes one was a little bland. The Cheese Pancakes were good, especially with the sweet red glaze. Finally, they got the Khinkali, which is Georgian dumplings. These were like Hong Kong Soup Dumplings where the meats and juices were inside and you had to be careful eating them. My dining companions just didn't like these. They said there was too much pepper on top and the inside meat was not as tender as they thought it would be. However, we had wanted to try a bunch of items and we did. The bread served with the meal was also very good. We sat around for a while after the meal and then weren't sure how to get the check. We ended up just going to the counter and paying, which was fine. It was very interesting to try new to us foods.“

Not everyone was able to make it at the same time so unfortunately for Austin the table was taken up from 5pm to approximately 8:30pm. I got a wrap that tasted bland, but I bet if all the ingredients were available it would be yummy because I had a meat-eating friend say theirs was delicious. What I love about the place is the focus on sustainability. You can purchase really cute reusable salad buckets. The current selection is retro McDonald's. The portions are generous too. The winter park location is very cute, modern minimalist, with its own parking lot. It was very dirty & a little scary walking from the lot to the front door though. “Eggs Up Grill is a favorite for breakfast and lunch. Eggs with corned beef is great, as are the crab cakes and shrimp and grits. The grits are nice and creamy every time. There is a lot to choose from on the menu (Bananas Foster French Toast, anyone?) and they are happy to take special requests as well. They even have oatmilk for those who choose no dairy.
