“I visited Hawkers for the 2nd time 2 weeks ago. I brought another group of friends there to celebrate one of our girlfriend's birthdays. Once again it was a great experience. Chef Reggie remembered me from my last visit. Manager Tom welcomed me back. Chef Benjamin came out to meet my friends and I. He wished the birthday girl happy birthday. Our waitress Dakota was very friendly and attentive. The staff made us feel special, and thanked me for coming back again and introducing my friends to the restaurant. We enjoyed the food, our drinks and the vibe of the place. A+ for customer service, hospitality and food. I will definitely come back again. I may even bring a new set of friends with me next time around.“

“We usually steer clear of Greek Restaurants because they rarely have traditional flavors that we are used to at home…Chris’ Taverna pleasantly surprised us and we chose to eat here twice during our trip! My daughter said she enjoyed the octopus more than she did in Greece! The food is plentiful and delicious! The shrimp saganaki is perfect and the meat platter is huge and delicious!“

“My friend and I had the ramen, gyoza, and karaage chicken. I forgot to take a photo of the gyoza, so I’m sorry about that. Anyways the service overall was really good. Our server was attentive and very kind. The atmosphere was nice as well. It was calm since we came a little bit after the restaurant opened. The ramen was honestly delicious in my opinion. The broth was flavorful, the noodles were cooked perfectly, and the other toppings were delicious as well. The karaage chicken was crispy and had a nice flavor. The pork gyoza was flavorful as well. The fruit tea was really refreshing and I appreciate them making it less sweet for me as well. My only complaint would be the temperature of the food when it was brought out. I feel as if any food brought to the table should be hot. The ramen and appetizers came to us a little warm, which caused the food to get cold faster. The food was good enough to eat still thankfully. I’d definitely come back here again. I just hope the food will be hotter.“

The hostess was busy talking on her phone, never a good sign. Sat down finally, decided on an appetizer and some entrees the waiter came back and said they were out of the appetizer, started off bad. Very limited fish dishes, ordered a steak dish and a fish dish,nothing spectacular and it was tough we did not say anything to the waiter the whole situation from beginning to end a total disappointment, couldn't wait to leave, actually felt nauseated after leaving after eating my fish with risotto, it was so greasy. Very loud place hard to have a conversation.I don't know what the hype is about this place because the prices do not match the food quality or the presentation. Would not recommend nor would I go back ever. The whole vibe was uninspiring and the atmosphere was just not a good experience or fun. I guess if you're a drinker this place might be fun but if you're not it makes waiting for your entree for 45 minutes more excruciating, was not impressed about anything about this place and I wanted to be. Note to manager find a Hostess that seems like she's interested in seating people and not talking on the phone. I could honestly say I had better food at the gas station on the way into town, the homemade empanadas there were amazing. All I can say to people is beware of reviews you'll get burned I know I have on several occasions. I've run into people who absolutely love this place while I've been in town, wish I could say the same. maybe I was there on an off night but waiting 45 minutes for an entree when three of their tables were seated and served before I was seemed a little strange. the wait staff seem tired and uninspired.“

“My family came here tonight to celebrate my son's college graduation. We have been coming here for many years, but tonight's visit was absolutely unforgettable. Our waitress Evangelia was a total angel. I swear we left there and I felt like she was a member of our family! And Mama always takes such great care of us. She knows our drink orders and how we like our bread. No matter if we go there weekly or she doesn't see us for months, Mama never forgets us. But Evangelia? Please. She is an absolute PLEASURE to be around and have serve us. Like I said, we've been coming here for years, but she made this day special. My husband had a Caesar Salad with blackened shrimp. The salad was huge, the lettuce was crisp and fresh and the shrimp was cooked perfectly. Our server, Jensen, was sweet and took good care of us.“

The chocolate truffles were an excellent dessert. Our waitress, April was amazing. She answered all of our questions and was spot on with her descriptions. We will be going back. We were at Sylvester Cancer Center in Deerfield and had a conversation with a couple from out of state. They said they had the best breakfast and would be going back until they leave to go home.
