“I grew up in Chicago but moved away in 2002, and since then I hadn’t found a pizza that even came close to true Chicago flavor—until 2018, when I accidentally stumbled upon Windy City Pizza. The first bite gave me that Ratatouille Ego moment (if you know, you know). I could have cried. After so many years, I finally found a Chicago pizza that truly tastes like home. I absolutely love this place and happily drive 40 minutes whenever I can. Needless to say, I highly recommend this place.“

“Had a retirement party for a Nurse at our surgical center. From the beginning, organizing it, Steve, the manager was outstanding so cooperative so easy to work with and the day of the party everything was set. The service was A+ the two individuals and I’m sorry I can’t remember their names they care and the way that they organized everything with 26 people was amazing. I thank you again Bert and Max’s. We had a wonderful celebration.“

“I visited Hawkers for the 2nd time 2 weeks ago. I brought another group of friends there to celebrate one of our girlfriend's birthdays. Once again it was a great experience. Chef Reggie remembered me from my last visit. Manager Tom welcomed me back. Chef Benjamin came out to meet my friends and I. He wished the birthday girl happy birthday. Our waitress Dakota was very friendly and attentive. The staff made us feel special, and thanked me for coming back again and introducing my friends to the restaurant. We enjoyed the food, our drinks and the vibe of the place. A+ for customer service, hospitality and food. I will definitely come back again. I may even bring a new set of friends with me next time around.“

My husband and I arrived and parking was a challenge. Once we were in the restaurant, though, sitting outside, the breeze, the water, the scenery - everything felt right. “We went to The Grove last night and had a really great dinner! The food is amazing and the atmosphere is really nice and upscale. The food is expertly prepared and the service was quite good too! The only thing that prevents me from giving this restaurant 5 stars are the prices and the portions. Over $40 for a pasta dish with no protein is just a little ridiculous! The portions are small and I left the restaurant still feeling a little hungry even though my wife and I shared an appetizer, we each had an entree and we shared a dessert. As I said, the prices are a little over the top but the food is excellent so at the end of the day, this is a place we will return to. Many restaurants have really become out of control with their prices so certainly not limited to this one. Some highlights were the Ravioli Du Daphine and the Sweet Corn Agnolotti. Oh and the butterscotch pots de creme was an absolutely amazing finish to our meal!“
