Athens Juice Bar is a historic family-owned spot in Miami, established in 1942, and one of the oldest on Miami Beach. Known for its fresh and plentiful fruit salads and smoothies, it is a local favorite. The fruit salad, often called the "best ever," is served with a side of cottage cheese and nectar, a fruity topping called the Nectar of the Gods. All of the fruit juices, including Coconut Milk, Papaya, Pineapple, and Athens Special Fruit Punch, are made daily with fresh fruits, even when out of season. Customers also enjoy the very fresh and tasty açaí bowls, topped with fresh fruit and gluten-free granola. The Acai Bowl is highly praised, described as the best ever. The shots of locally grown wheat grass are also popular. The staff, especially Oscar, are friendly and accommodating, providing excellent customer service. Seating inside is limited, with around 8 bar seats, but there is plenty of street parking. The juice bar is known for its quality and freshness, making it a legendary spot among locals and tourists alike. However, recent reviews mention that the prices for smoothies and açaí bowls have increased significantly, with some customers feeling they are too expensive and hoping for prices to go back down.
