This is THE BEST place to go in South Beach! The food is out of this world delicious and is such an exquisite treat! Whenever we visit (has been nearly 10 times now in 4 years) we always make sure to come here when they are open (when it is stone crab season).

Nos sirvieron un pie de manzana hecho pedazos, quemado y en un plato que no cabía , parecía sobras

Quickly seated at table. Great table in the corner of main restaurant. Audrey as our server was thorough and friendly and made great recommendations. Popcorn shrimp was hot and tasty and the crab claws although out of season fresh, tasty and good portion.

Not to say that is the best sea food In town. But it would be ridiculous to say ( for the folks the stand crab fanatic) that is the is only place to find all year around. Kostas the waiter is Amazing!!

Great Restaurant! You cannot beat the prices, especially the fried chicken , which is absolutely amazing! The seafood is always fresh and amazing and if you like New England clam chowder, it is incredible!

If Applebee's is is your go to restaurant, and I'm not knocking Applebee's, then Joe's stonecrab will be great for you, only at a much higher price point. As someone with food sensitivities my expectations for this restaurant were sorely disappointed. Typically when you spend $100 for a meal, per person, you might think you're getting freshly prepared food. But I learned in trying to avoid soy and dairy that most of the meals are prepared ahead of time and the restaurant puts soy in everything. I'm not necessarily surprised by this, but their lack of access to unmodified ingredients was shocking. They were very limited in their ability to customize and meet dietary accommodations. Coupled with a server who seemed very irritated by my accommodation request, I was served a plain piece of tuna on a blank plate. Even the presentation was abysmal. They couldn't even add a piece of greenery or a slice of tomato. To say that I left the restaurant still hungry was an understatement. I kept trying to assure my friends that the restaurant would figure out a way to pull through, as most fine dining restaurants can, but instead my meal caused them to cry on my behalf when my friend was served the same but unmodified tuna and it was beautiful. JSC, this was an opportunity woefully missed.

Not for us. We had the crab cakes, creamed spinach and crab soup (which had no crab). Server was very nice though.

Service was outstanding and so was the food. Large portions (shareable, which the waiter was kind enough to let us know).

Joe's Stone Crab is excellent! The atmosphere is pleasing, our waiter was top notch and very helpful, and best of all, the food is fantastic. The bread basket contains several kinds of bread, each of them excellent. I ordered the wild oysters as an appetizer and the Branzino En Papillote for the main course. The fish was cooked perfectly and very moist. My wife ordered a large order of stone crabs, and they were excellent as well. We ended up taking some home and enjoyed eating the leftovers the next day. It's not inexpensive, but for me it was worth every penny. We are definitely going back the next time we are in Miami Beach. I recommend making a reservation, but please keep it, as the restaurant charges $25 for a missed one. I don't blame them. This place was packed.

A friend, who is local to Miami, recommended Joe's Stone Crab as a nice place to go for a birthday dinner. We love seafood and we were excited to try it. We were seated promptly and greeted by our server. So many amazing items on the menu that we had a tough time deciding what to try. We settled on tuna tartare with wasabi chips as an appetizer ... delicious! For entrees, we ordered the scallops, sea bass and of course, we had to try the stone crab. Oh, and don't forget the lobster mac & cheese. They brought out bibs for the stone crab and that was a fun photo opportunity. We shared everything, the food was delicious and we were too stuffed to even try dessert. Highly recommend as a Miami staple.

This is a true must stop place. I goofed and missed this place the first year I came down for the NASCAR race. I didnt make that same mistake the next two years. We visited again after we got off our Princess Cruise. Rented a car after the cruise to get to this place and a couple of other stops. The stone crabs are incredible. You can order stone crab meat if you dont feel up to cracking them. All of the food was incredible. The service was great. This is an expensive place. But worth trying it. They are open for lunch. I would suggest that or go early for dinner. They also have a take out as well that would be faster. I will definitely stop here again if we make if back to Miami.
