You can tell she loves what she's doing and it was hands down the best Chilaquiles I've had in MIAMI! Tacos are worth every penny. The Sauces are FIRE! The Avocado/Verde is supreme. Everything about it is amazing—I really, really love it.

They have special soups on Saturdays and Sundays, and you should definitely try them. In my opinion, they have the best birria quesadilla in Wynwood—maybe even in all of Miami.

“La Potranca exceded my expectations, I love good authentic food, I was born in Mexico City and It’s difficult for me to find a restaurant that offers the taste I get when I go back and visit, I’m thrilled to finally find a place in my neighborhood where I can get my fix without all the bells and whistles or fusion with other cuisines. This is as authentic and good as it gets, from the simple way to make a delicious Margarita outside my home. The service is also top notch, our server Eric was so attentive and seamless at the same time. The tacos al pastor and the Carme asada tacos are perfection, the tortas and consomé are also amazing. We all had a fabulous time, but one friend in particular left VERY impressed with the bartender, Leo. I won’t name names because I respect her privacy, but she would like it publicly documented that he is hot, charming, and apparently provides exceptional customer service. 😏

Anyway, highly recommend the bar. Come for the drinks, stay for the atmosphere.

“I found this spot on TikTok and decided to try it with my boyfriend and it truly lived up to my expectations. I ordered the tacos de asada, he got the birria quesadilla, and we shared the queso fundido. Everything was so delicious. The food tasted super fresh, the meat was tender, and the salsa verde had the perfect level of spice for my liking.
We discovered it’s a family-owned business, and we actually got to meet most of the family. The mom was the sweetest, she talked with us for a while and even gave us a flan on the house. And ngl, probably the best flan we’ve ever had. The texture was perfect and the flavor was balanced, not too sweet, not too strong.
They’re currently inside Shoma, but I really hope they get their own spot soon because they deserve it. We’ll definitely be going back. Highly, highly recommend!“

Before the entrée even arrived, I was treated to warm, fresh bread served alongside fragrant olive oil and a vibrant tomato purée that was bursting with fresh flavor. It was the perfect way to begin the meal, and honestly, I could have kept eating it all evening.

Then came the ribeye, and it absolutely stole the show. It was cooked to perfection with a beautiful sear on the outside while remaining incredibly tender and juicy. “Look I get they claim it was all brought from Mexico and all but you could never compare if you had them in Mexico, it’s simply never the same. Nonetheless, my boy and I had a good lunch. Started with a nice modelo to cool down after the long hot walk. We each ordered tacos and shared the papas enchiladas. The fries were really good and just the right amount of spicy.

We tried the cachetada campechana and tacos de res. The tacos de res were ok. Tasty but nothing special to be honest. Now the campechana was so good we ordered twice. Even though I prefer corn tortilla, this was an exception. Perfectly cooked juicy and tender beef and al pastor pork with a cheesy crust sitting on a delicious yogurt chipotle spread. This has to be one of their most popular ones because OMG.

The side sauces are all amazing and the level of spice for everyone’s tolerance which is nice. Service was also very good. The prices are a little on the high side considering it’s a taco shop but expected from location.“
