“Amazing place to dine at from the moment you walk in you are greeted with family love and emotion. Also you have three different sections of the restaurant to eat in with different themes. The owner Angela says hey to the tables all the time and consistently checks the tables to make sure everything is good. The Bartender they have now is amazing and makes the best Mojitos and Margherita. Even though they run it under the beer and wine license the substitute 24% Liquor makes the drinks great. No need to worry about getting black outs. Lmao ?. The food is the most amazing part. They have every type of seafood thing going on and as well as red meat. Their music is the greatest of all things there. They have live music like 5 times a week there at nights. Need to call the restaurant to check when and who is playing. Don't miss out on this place for Family and Date Night.Vegetarian options: None at all!!!!!! ?Parking: Come early because they get packed. More then Flanigans.Kid-friendliness: Very much so.Wheelchair accessibility: Not really. Crutches and Walkers yes.“

Everything was prepared perfectly we got two keep it Simple’s with the signature sauce or medium spice and one non spice (I’m pregnant) our boxes were completely scraped and empty by the end of the night! “This place is atmospheric to the max. At our lunchtime there was parking along the west side of the building. The interior is colorful, tropical, ramshackle, with lots of framed photos of people. You order at the counter, choose your table and wait. The food comes out, they call out your name and find your way to the counter. Then you head back to your table, unpack the neatly bagged and boxed food. The food is simple, well-prepared and cooked correctly. My pal tried the griot--fried marinated seasoned pork chunks, served with a savory gravy. As good as it gets. I had the conch salad that was absolutely about the best I've had outside of Nassau. Marinated in a mixture of vinegar, scotch bonnet chilé pepper, lime juice and tomato juice, this version had the perfectly cut and sized chunks of tender, sweet conch offset by the requisite chopped tomatoes, bell peppers and onions. Not ONE morsel of that conch was tough and chewy. I also had the conch fritters (seeing a pattern?) which were filled with smaller pieces of that amazingly sweet conch, deep fried in a light, airy batter that melted in my mouth. Their recipe was unique, producing fritter that was closer to a Krispy Kreme doughnut in texture than a hush puppy. The pickliz was suitably scorching, providing a cole slaw effect on the palate but with a kick. The maduros (fried ripe bananas) and rice are ubiquitous, found in every Caribbean restaurant anywhere. Their versions are fine, unexceptional. That red velvet cake is homemade and delicious! We had a great time at Chef Creole. Next time I'm checking out their location closer to my home.“

We Shuckin Express (Shuckin and Jivin) Cajun/Creole • $$
6100 NW 24th Ave, Miami

“One of my favorite spots in south FloridaThe jivin shrimp is always a hit. Shrimp and grits. Or fried fish. It's all delicious. They are one of the FEW spots that genuinely has great mac and cheese. Many spots, especially black-owned spots, boast mac and cheese that isn't it. But shuckin always hits. Only downside is they can be very slow on service but because the food is so good it's worth the wait. Also their Pembroke Pines location has a huge connect 4 game so that's pretty cool.“

“Absolutely delicious food, the hush puppies are made perfectly and remind me of home. The king crab was amazing, I also tried the black mussels, crawfish and lobster tail, everything was fantastic. I highly recommend this restaurant ! The margaritas were made perfect too! I am from out of town and was simply visiting for my birthday, and this is a great place to have a birthday dinner! The staff came out and sang to me and gave me a slice of cheesecake, my absolute favorite. It was an awesome experience and I’ll be back anytime I visit Miami. Thank you for providing such a great experience for my birthday, it means a lot !“
