The restaurant has a unique, colorful, and tropical atmosphere, with a ramshackle interior adorned with photos. The location closer to Wynnwood is particularly appreciated for its ambiance. Meals are simply prepared, cooked correctly, and served at the counter. The conch salad is highly praised for its perfectly cut and sized chunks of tender conch, while the conch fritters are unique in their light, airy batter. The fried plantains are always fresh, crisp, and delicious, especially with homemade pickling. The oxtails are juicy and tender, and the fish is fried to perfection and seasoned well. The red velvet cake remains a standout dessert. Parking is available but can be tricky on the busy street. Overall, Chef Creole offers a taste of the Caribbean with kind and pleasant service.
