We were lucky enough to enjoy Cucina Povera shortly after it opened and were really impressed with the food, the service and the layout.
My wife and I shared the very tasty antipasto and the very fresh bruschetta, then we moved onto the mains of shrimp scampi (perfectly done shrimp on a bed of tasty spaghettini) and a pizza (Cauli me Shrooms) which featured a precisely cooked pizza crust (very slightly charred, chewy and filled with airy bubbles) and outstanding toppings.

Cucina Povera is a beautifully decorated restaurant in a convenient location, tucked into the first floor of a high rise. It is a beautiful space that is not too busy and easy to hold a conversation. The menu features amazing Italian cuisine, including excellent arancini, great fries, and an out-of-this-world extra crispy margarita pizza. Dishes like the calimari app, risotto, chicken dishes, and guava pie are all great. They also have a breakfast corner serving a really good matcha latte.
The service is impeccable, friendly, and attentive. The staff is outstanding and lovely to deal with, quickly remaking or reheating items if anything goes wrong. Prices are very reasonable. It is a place that should be slammed every weekend and comes highly recommended for anyone in the area.
