The food is great, but they need to work on the service. Customer Service is lacking. There is always a longer wait time since they cook the food once you order which is ok, so if anyone decides to go make sure you have time.
I met the nicest people here at this restaurant. They really put the food together with love and care and there is a sense of community here.
Great hole in the wall for a quick bite, affordable, clean and amazing customer service by Gloribel

El Merendon Restaurant is a charming, small family-owned spot that has recently undergone significant improvements under new ownership. Customers appreciate the warm and attentive service, often feeling treated like family. The food is consistently praised for its deliciousness and satisfying portions, with standout dishes including baleadas, pork bites, pupusas, and homemade chicken strips. The restaurant also offers a variety of sauces for items like chicken wings, with favorites such as pineapple and Flor de Jamaica sauce. Breakfast options are equally delightful, featuring eggs, ham, beans, fried plantains, cheese, and tortillas.
In addition to the tasty meals, El Merendon has a little store selling goodies like pinolillo, merengues, and chips for customers to take home. The restaurant's coffee is freshly ground and customizable to each guest's preference, adding to the overall enjoyable dining experience. With good prices and quality food, El Merendon Restaurant is a great place to grab a bite and is highly recommended for both dining in and delivery.
