I am so disgusted. my all time lifelong favorite Shortys is ruined into a filthy disgusting mess.
the rude waitress told me she didn't cook the food when I said something. later she told me she hated pork while rolling her eyes.
the pork was full of fat and of far.
horrible, a roll of paper towels wouldn't have helped.
the team and supposed new owners have turned this into more Miami crap.

Shorty's BBQ West Miami is a true American style BarBQ spot with great food, atmosphere, and service. The food is excellent and plenty. The baby back ribs are falling off the bone sweet, with creamy slaw and moist, sweet cornbread. The true southern style iced tea is a perfect combination. The Buffalo Wings are the best and juiciest, the Chicken Ceaser Salad is fresh and guilt free, the Pulled Pork Plate with pork and slaw on perfectly crispy bread is an amazing bite with big portions, and the Chicken Breast plate is very nicely grilled and charred. The ribs are amazing, with soft meat and flavor. Desserts like lemon pie and brownie are fantastic. The atmosphere is typical American restaurant. The service is mostly wonderful, with servers like Edna, Maria, and Cookie being polite, sweet, and on point. However, one server named Elena was awful, extremely rude, and not attentive. A manager also handled a billing issue poorly, claiming the customer was wrong. Overall, the food is perfect, but experiences can vary.
