“The best Soul Food I have ever had!!! The baked chicken just fell off the bone, Collard greens and greens were off the hook!!! The yellow rice had a special spice that's incredible!!! Of course the corn bread was to die for!!!! When in Richmond Heights you must eat here!!! You'll be glad you did!! And the owners couldn't have been nicer and friendlier!!! I stupidly got a side salad as one of my two sides. Who goes to a BBQ place and gets a side salad?!
Anyway, seems a random spot, but food is so damn good.
A few stars off for atmosphere because they could use a redecoration. It wouldn't cost much and it would make the place much more attractive. Then again, I came to eat, not to sit in a pretty environment.“

“Went to The Licking One hour ago - South Miami Location. I was served by Trenese She was knowledgeable about the menu. She was friendly. I ordered the Fried Conch Dinner, with candied yams, collard greens & a side of pigeon, peas and rice. I was delighted by the quality of the food. I was so impressed. When I got home I asked my son to come over and do a taste test. He enjoyed the food and now I have shared the location with him. The Licking Food was a good value for my money. The place was spotless, and the air conditioning was working very well. I will be returning.“

“I was out shopping look for some good soul food…ask this young lady in the store and she suggested tippy’s… the food was a 10/10….the fired ribs and fried pork chops and beef plank all a 10….if you in Miami go to tippy’s u won’t be disappointed….“

“No butter on the toast...like seriously that bread be dry...I like them for real but the food is inconsistent I don't know if it's different cooks on different days or what because you have to stand outside for your food so it's no way to tell whose “
“Average breakfast . I had grits, fried eggs and sausage with biscuits. The tea was good and southern sweeet. The young waiter, Blow, was extremely nice and calm. He wasn’t your typical waiter, but his style worked for a small soul food restaurant. The other male waiter/bus boy moved at super human speed. The place was very clean and definitely is a favorite of the locals. It was my first time visiting. I will definitely try it if I am ever back there.“
“The lady in there was VERY VERY UNDERSTANDING! I told her how my wife was allergic to chicken and do you know she pulled out fresh grease to fry her ribs in!! WE WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK TO SEE HER! “From the moment we entered we were greated by 2 young men who were very nice and working hard. A pleasant departure from the norm today. The food was on point to say the least. Fresh fried chicken, black eyed peas, mac and cheese, lime beans and greens each outdid the other. We will be back.“

“The fried turkey wings with lemon pepper seasoning was amazing. The yams were delicious, but the greens were just okay. The waitress made really great recommendations. Everyone enjoyed their food, although they ordered straight off the menu, chicken, steak, and shrimp. I asked the waitress for advice. They all ordered the mystery mix drink while I ordered the waitress choice and mine tasted better. Overall, it was a great dining experience. You won't be disappointed.

“The food was amazing but not a proper establishment for guests who want to dine in. The chef of the establishment is not customer friendly, she did not help me get through the door knowing I was struggling to get out of the building with my bike.“
