As far as timeliness, we don’t do fast food! If it isn’t prepared with love I don’t want it, and that requires time.“

Some employees were just standing around because their assigned area (checkout) wasn't necessarily busy.“

I only got video for 2 of our plates, but the rest of our family ordered & we all loved it. The restaurant was small, so it's more of an in & out type restaurant. We took an uber there & even though it didn't seem like an area we needed to be in as tourists, we felt right at home. I believe it was a busy time for them as they were transitioning from breakfast to lunch, bc the wait was kinda long, which didn't matter once we tasted our food & I now want to go back for breakfast. While waiting I noticed a memory mural on the wall & it was beautiful! And shows why this food was so good & tasted like the sweet loving feeling of home, bc her family carried out her dream with her restaurant & delicious menu. “The fried turkey wings with lemon pepper seasoning was amazing. The yams were delicious, but the greens were just okay. The waitress made really great recommendations. Everyone enjoyed their food, although they ordered straight off the menu, chicken, steak, and shrimp. I asked the waitress for advice. They all ordered the mystery mix drink while I ordered the waitress choice and mine tasted better. Overall, it was a great dining experience. You won't be disappointed.

“Honestly I was skeptical about his place being a ‘ghost kitchen’ but the food was fresh and delicious.. I feel if you order earlier in the day the Mac and cheese would be creamier but I ordered the fried catfish it’s crispy and well seasoned and the yams were on point and the collards was just right. Honestly would order from them again but might opt out for the Mac and cheese for something else because I like my Mac like creamy and cheese but other than that I can’t complain for ordering from a ‘ghost kitchen’ and the sweet potato pie was a chefs kiss would definitely recommend trying this place I was sketched out from the address and map view but I door dashed and everything was great“

“I've been wanting to try conch salad for a couple of years. We had a layover and decided to try conch it up. We were not disappointed! The conch salad was so fresh and flavorful. I also enjoyed the shrimp and crab salad. We had fried conch and shrimp and fish. The conch sauce is delicious but similar to hot sauce so use with caution.“

“Average breakfast . I had grits, fried eggs and sausage with biscuits. The tea was good and southern sweeet. The young waiter, Blow, was extremely nice and calm. He wasn’t your typical waiter, but his style worked for a small soul food restaurant. The other male waiter/bus boy moved at super human speed. The place was very clean and definitely is a favorite of the locals. It was my first time visiting. I will definitely try it if I am ever back there.“

This is a hidden gem. The quality and quantity of the food was really good. They give big portions and meat for days. If you hungry and want Kay's to satisfy your appetite please pull up you would not be disappointed.

“Pleasantly surprised. I highly recommend visiting Derry's Family Restaurant.

We went for breakfast and the food was so delicious. There were so many dishes we wanted to try. I selected the Big 2 which consisted of eggs, bacon and sausage. The Big 2 comes with pancakes too ?. She had Priscilla's Favorite-2 eggs, 2 sausage patties and a very generous portion of biscuits on gravy.... Hot damn!??
