This was my second visit to The Dutch Pot Restaurant in Miami Gardens Fort Lauderdale, and it won’t be my last! The true gem of this place is the staff. From the moment I walked in, I noticed the genuine, friendly interaction between the staff and customers – no impatience or condescension, just warm and welcoming service. It’s rare to find such a personable atmosphere!

Dutch Pot Restaurant is a popular spot for Jamaican cuisine in Dade County, despite some drawbacks. The parking lot is a major issue, making it difficult for customers to enjoy their dining experience. However, the restaurant serves authentic and delicious food, including liver and dumplings, stew peas and rice, and fried dumplings. The staff, comprising native Jamaicans, provides spectacular service, and prices are fair. Customers often experience long lines, especially for drive-thru orders, and parking spaces are limited, but the staff work hard to serve everyone with friendliness and efficiency. The food portions are generous, and the restaurant offers a welcoming atmosphere. While some find the jerk chicken to lack spice and white meat, overall, many appreciate the authentic Caribbean flavors, and the cleanliness and good service make it a worthwhile visit for those craving Jamaican dishes like oxtails and brown chicken stew.
