Wow! This is a true hidden gem. I was blown away by my experience today! I’ve been in Miami for 48 hours, and I’ve visited a number of restaurants during my short time here. This restaurant had the best food I’ve eaten in Miami by far, and the yuca frita was definitely the best I’d ever had. The food was incredible, the service was efficient and kind, the music was so fun, and it had a decidedly local feel. If you see this place from the outside you'd never think is a restaurant and in reality is more of a Billiard place, however the food is truly amazing, cooked by latins and it really has that latin taste that you can only obviously get from latin cook ladies. The prices are down to earth for miami. They don't have a fixed menu and it's awesome to get there everyday and found something completely new to eat. Such a delight. Villafuerte is pretty much the definition of a hole in the wall. Unassuming, no frills, menus with tape for updated prices, hand written signage on the walls.Everything was really really good. Tostones, pupusas, rice it was all great. The yucca frita was no joke the best I've ever had-- and second place isn't even close.Go there, play some pool, drink some beer, eat great food and tip them really well
