“This food is AMAZING. Even though it’s off the beaten path a little and not in the middle of the fancier part of town, it’s a gem! We really loved our food and the girls were so nice. They don’t really speak English, and the food is different from what you may be used to. We ordered enchiladas and got tostadas. The tacos were like a flauta. So it was interesting to us to see how different the food is compared to Mexican food we are used to.The cheese pupusas were so good and the pescaditos as well. Sooo good!!“

“Pretty good! I was leading a tour group full of gringos and there was a little bit of a language barrier, and not everyone was into the authenticity of the Cuban and Salvadorian offerings. My meal was quite delicious though!

Vegetarian options: Unless you eat seafood you may not find anything at all on this menu.“

“Such a delight. Villafuerte is pretty much the definition of a hole in the wall. Unassuming, no frills, menus with tape for updated prices, hand written signage on the walls.Everything was really really good. Tostones, pupusas, rice it was all great. The yucca frita was no joke the best I've ever had-- and second place isn't even close.Go there, play some pool, drink some beer, eat great food and tip them really well“

“I had never experienced Salvadoran food before my visit here and I left very impressed. I had Salvadoran steak with sweet plantains and rice and beans. The portions were extremely generous and the food was off the chain! I highly recommend this restaurant.“
