China Wok Reviews
I ordered Chicken Chow Mein. I asked if it was traditional chow mein with noodles or American chow mein with all vegetables. I was assured it was traditional. It wasn't. Now you might think that lots of veggies and chicken is a good think but not in traditional chow mein. Deep disappointment.
Went to the app to check to see how much an order will cost with delivery. Noticed door dash doesn’t pick up from there. Left the app. Called the restaurant to see if they use a delivery service. Their response was no. We hang up with them never went back to the app. Got food somewhere else, 2 hours later we get a call that our food has been ready for 2 hours. China Wok is a local restaurant that has been serving the community for a few years. The reviews suggest a mixed experience, with some dishes receiving praise and others falling short.
The orange chicken and pork fried rice were described as delicious, while the lo mein was also good. The bourbon chicken, however, was not what the customer expected. The crab rangoons were a disappointment, with very little filling in each one.
The steamed dumplings with dipping sauce were praised as amazing, but the krab rangoons lacked flavor. The chicken teriyaki sticks were described as "horrible" - burnt with no teriyaki flavor and mostly fat with little meat.
Portion sizes for the combo meals were noted as small. Pricing was considered reasonable, and the restaurant was praised for its consistent cooking and quality. The only common complaint was that the larger entrees were often mistakenly given as the smaller lunch or dinner combo.
Overall, China Wok seems to offer a varied menu with some standout dishes, but also some inconsistencies that may impact the customer experience.
