“My husband, good friend, and I checked out Stephie's for the first time tonight and we were very pleasantly surprised! From the pics it looks pretty small, but it could accommodate a pretty good group of people. The food was AMAZING!!! Our friend had the Irish Corned Beef Panini (I have to say I was jealous that I did not chose that for dinner!), my husband and I decided to split the bangers and mash and the rib eye panini! OMG!!! Both items were fabulous and I am happy that we shared dishes to get a taste of both dishes. Our friend thoroughly enjoyed hers! When we came in we were greeted and told to sit where we like, Reba our server was a gem, and we were pleased to also get a visit to our table from Stephie herself! She basically lives at the restaurant, so I am glad that they have one day off :) We are planning on having our culdesac group come and enjoy the live music, AWESOME FOOD, and delicious drinks soon. “It's a great place to get together with your veteran brother and sisters! Many awesome games to play! A lot of entertainment throughout the week and on the weekend and it's a very very good entertainment! All the people behind the bar are amazing and the drinks are delicious!“
“First time I've been to Laura Lee's in quite a long time, was introduced to a new style taco burger which was absolutely delicious everything all the way around was just a great time.Parking: It's not like a super club that has a ton of parking but they're parking lot would probably house 20 cars or so if not more“
“I like this place. It’s got a cool vibe. But admittedly, the whole food thing is confusing. We went next door to get food and beer; the more restaurant side. Folks there said they only had a few beers and sent us to the bar spot and said they were owned by the same people and we could just order there and have more beer options. Awesome. So went there. I ordered and started a tab. Ordered beer and food. No prob. My friend ordered beer and food and started a separate tab. Easy. Food took a while but it was fine, there were great beer options. Went to close out and I got a beer check. Then they gave me a food check separate where they’d charged me multiple tabs of food. I said, “hey, you put the whole tab on my card,” and the server responded with, “Well, you didn’t tell me you wanted them separated.” Not sure how I would even know to ask that? Anyway, it turned into a hassle that required getting a manager from next door to figure it out. All of that is fine, it worked out. But it *might* be useful to tell people when they order food that it is a whole separate tab and also to track tabs in the system. Or put a sign up. I’d have asked if I’d known.Overall a cool spot but making things a little more seamless goes a long way.“
“Our waitress Korina F was amazing to start. We ordered the Nachos and I've never tasted anything better. The rest of the food and drinks were great too, but those nachos!!! WOW! The outside atmosphere was so awesome. Korina came our often and made sure we were okay. I'll definitely be back!“
“Don’t let being in a Basement off an Alley discourage you. The Frog & Monkey Restaurant may be one of the best hidden gems of Mt Dora! A rustic basement tavern with some high end Craft Beer on tap and amazing pub food.I got the Ruby Burger, think a Ruben but with a burger, Swiss cheese and sauerkraut; where have you been all my life?!?!? This was followed up by a rarity in the craft world, Tripping Animals, Triple Ever Haze, a hazy, smooth, juicy fruit sweetness Triple IPA with NO hint that this gem is 10%.
