“OK, if you don't give this place a five star review you are out of your mind. Yes the rolls were kind of small and pricey, but it's 2026 and lobster is expensive. Ordered them so we could share and try different things, and they were darn good!

Service was excellent, and fast. Sat down and asked if this was our first time, we said yes and got a complementary tasting of the clam chowder. You folks up in the north east can just sit down because that was the best clam chowder I've ever had. So the wife and I ordered a bowl to share on top of our rolls.

“We went to the Fiests Grande restaurant today (2-1-25). Somebody told the manager that my husband was stealing a cup that was on another table. My husband saw the cup and was showing me how cool it was (we are seniors and if my husband liked a cup that he saw he would have asked our server if the restaurant sold them, we do not have to steal. Nor were we dressed poorly.) So, the manager came over to us, and demanded to look in my husband's bag. I felt so bad for my husband! The look on his face! He was mortified! She did not find a cup, because my husband did not take anything. She embarrassed my husband and me in front of everyone. I approched the manager and told her she was out of line and she told me she had to protect her customers...well, my husband and I were also her customers, she didn't protect us from public humiliation! She also told me " I am Mexican, I know how it feels. I don't know what she meant by that. We will never visit that restaurant again, and probably won't go to Mt. Dora again either! Needless to say, our beautiful day was ruined.“

“Came here with my wife as part of our anniversary vacation. Met Jerome the owner and chatted with him for a good bit. Such a cool guy. The selection of drinks, wine and beer is good. We were going to head back to our hotel after purchasing some port but the atmosphere was so nice and we also saw the live entertainment preparing to start so we just decided to hang out for a bit and drink some wine in the alleyway outside while grooving to the music. Will definitely be back.“

“Went in a Friday night over the Arts Festival weekend. They were busy, but staff seated us fairly quickly. We ordered a veggie pizza - it came out huge, hot & delicious. The veggies were very fresh, the crust was not too thick or thin & it had the right amount of cheese. Our waitress was friendly & attentive. We feel like we picked a great place & wish we had more time to go back & choose one of their Italian dishes!“

“Amazing location, excellent service at bar and patio. Poke is fresh and brick oven pizza just the right size and yummy ingredients. Not heavy at all. Of course wine selection is good and beer is very cold! Sitting outside is gorgeous with Orange umbrellas and just steps from the MT Dora Yacht Club“

“My family stopped in today before we caught a flight home today. My aunt and uncle live in Mount Dora and visit there often. My mom and I were visiting from Saint louis Missouri and was our first time there. I really wanted to give a shout out to your waiter that was working this morning around noon!! He was a superstar running around like crazy today. He was taking orders, seating customers, and cashing out customers. There was only one cook and one busser/dishwasher. Apparently 2 people had called in sick and he was so busy he couldn’t even call for someone to come in to help him. The crew this morning definitely deserves a raise. Unfortunately I didn’t get their names. But they all did a great job.“

“This is high-quality Chinese. From the packaging all the way into the food, care is taken. An expensive, imprinted sack contains your food. The box with the food is stuffed full of it. The fried rice is not just simple fried rice. It is clearly made with eggs and bean sprouts. Much care has been taken.“

“This is the worst bar in Mount Dora. If you want to have a bad time. Go here. We showed up to the bar at 10 pm on a Saturday and ordered one drink per person. While my friends went to the bathroom, the bartender walked up to our table and took away our purchased drinks for no reason. The "manager", Mark came up and told me that we weren't welcome anymore. I asked why and he had no answer. I asked why again and he had no answer. Then after multiple times questioning, he said , "your too intoxicated" We were literally sober. The manager then physically intimidated us and forced us to leave. I'll never go to this bar again I live in this town and frequent town regularly. I'll never recommend anyone go to this bar for food or drink. What a top to bottom terrible experience. If you enjoy a good time, skip this bar.“

“I discovered Las Palmas about 7 months ago passing through Mt. Dora. I had the best Cuban sandwich possibly ever and couldn’t wait to get back! Well, I made a point to return and Camillo provided another great experience. He knew the menu well and made great suggestions. The food was excellent and did not disappoint. Whenever I’m in the area I will be eating there. You should too!“

“We had a death in the family last month and I’m just now getting a chance to leave this review. Last month my daughter & I visited the Perkins Restaurant in Mount Dora on US 441 & Spring Harbor Blvd. We were greeted immediately & accommodated to a booth not too close to the entrance. I was truly grateful for the awesome service & privacy to discuss some aspects of what the next several months would look like. The manager passed by & said hello. I just had to grab his attention to tell him that the food was completely outstanding! In fact, I needed a little doggie bag. The portions were large and filling but most of all delectable! I was so pleased! I met Dwayne, the Mgr & told him I thought the food portions were decent & truly delicious! I cannot wait to go back! What an experience! And, our server made sure our cup was never empty. I cannot wait to go back. The ambiance was perfect and I felt the server respected our privacy as well. Love Love Love this Location! Especially with someone like Mgr Dwayne running this location; oh yes, we’ll be back and we most certainly be back. Maybe next time I will visit with my Book Group. I’m truly pleased with the great food & service. I can’t wait to come back.“
