“OK, if you don't give this place a five star review you are out of your mind. Yes the rolls were kind of small and pricey, but it's 2026 and lobster is expensive. Ordered them so we could share and try different things, and they were darn good!

Service was excellent, and fast. Sat down and asked if this was our first time, we said yes and got a complementary tasting of the clam chowder. You folks up in the north east can just sit down because that was the best clam chowder I've ever had. So the wife and I ordered a bowl to share on top of our rolls.

“We went to the Fiests Grande restaurant today (2-1-25). Somebody told the manager that my husband was stealing a cup that was on another table. My husband saw the cup and was showing me how cool it was (we are seniors and if my husband liked a cup that he saw he would have asked our server if the restaurant sold them, we do not have to steal. Nor were we dressed poorly.) So, the manager came over to us, and demanded to look in my husband's bag. I felt so bad for my husband! The look on his face! He was mortified! She did not find a cup, because my husband did not take anything. She embarrassed my husband and me in front of everyone. I approched the manager and told her she was out of line and she told me she had to protect her customers...well, my husband and I were also her customers, she didn't protect us from public humiliation! She also told me " I am Mexican, I know how it feels. I don't know what she meant by that. We will never visit that restaurant again, and probably won't go to Mt. Dora again either! Needless to say, our beautiful day was ruined.“

“Came here with my wife as part of our anniversary vacation. Met Jerome the owner and chatted with him for a good bit. Such a cool guy. The selection of drinks, wine and beer is good. We were going to head back to our hotel after purchasing some port but the atmosphere was so nice and we also saw the live entertainment preparing to start so we just decided to hang out for a bit and drink some wine in the alleyway outside while grooving to the music. Will definitely be back.“

“New to the area and decided to look for something we haven't tried yet. Walking up, the place looked closed, but thankfully it wasn't!
​We intentionally came during a slower time, so the place was almost empty. Typically, that’s when you risk getting slower service or lesser quality food, but we were completely surprised by how great everything was. Paola was our server and she was fantastic—speedy, attentive, and highly recommended. Make sure to ask for her and let her know I sent you!
​We started with the dip trio, which is always a great way to sample multiple flavors. I haven't said this in a long time, but the table salsa was absolutely fantastic, closely followed by the bean dip. The queso and guacamole were both really good as well.
​My wife ordered the Pollo Cancun, and let me tell you, I instantly regretted not getting it myself. It was honestly the best chicken and shrimp dish I have ever tasted!
​I got the Chile Relleno, which was perfectly prepared and very good. My only slight critique was the red sauce; my wife loved it, but I just thought it was okay—not my favorite, but not bad by any means. Even the rice and beans were excellent. We typically just pick at them, but here we actually enjoyed them both.
​We finished up with the fried ice cream for dessert, which was great. We will absolutely be back to enjoy that again and to explore the rest of the menu!“

Of course wine selection is good and beer is very cold! Sitting outside is gorgeous with Orange umbrellas and just steps from the MT Dora Yacht Club“

“I’ve been eating Del Franco’s pizza for years. The very best pizza. They cook it like you ask. You can eat in or they will deliver it. They do charge a delivery fee. It’s worth it to go in to eat. My grandchildren always want to go eat their pizza. Great food.“

“It was our first time here. We've been to another Takis but this one has a slightly different menu. I decided to get the Hawaiian pizza and actually I was surprised that I did enjoy it. My husband got the Gyro platter And it was good. However, ideally he prefers the meat to be shaved off of the rotisserie spit which they do not have here. But the amount of food was generous and it was priced fairly. Food came out rather quickly. It was hot and cooked properly.
I wish they had a cauliflower crust pizza because I've been starting to get into that lately but I did enjoy the pizza nonetheless.
Our server was fast and efficient.
Really no complaints at all. They have their own parking lot.
The only reason I gave it three stars on the atmosphere is because the place is a little bit boring, but I know it's hard to justify a lot of modern decor or updated decor of any type with things being so tight nowadays.

It's a little further away from us than we would normally go just for an easy lunch, but we would definitely go back.“

“My family stopped in today before we caught a flight home today. My aunt and uncle live in Mount Dora and visit there often. My mom and I were visiting from Saint louis Missouri and was our first time there. I really wanted to give a shout out to your waiter that was working this morning around noon!! He was a superstar running around like crazy today. He was taking orders, seating customers, and cashing out customers. There was only one cook and one busser/dishwasher. Apparently 2 people had called in sick and he was so busy he couldn’t even call for someone to come in to help him. The crew this morning definitely deserves a raise. Unfortunately I didn’t get their names. But they all did a great job.“

One of the best parts is the small supermarket inside — they have fresh meat, vegetables, baked goods, and other authentic items that are hard to find elsewhere. Great food, great prices, and excellent customer service. Highly recommend!“

My husband’s sausage and peppers were nicely sauced. Ziti was cooked perfect. Our friends shared the pizza. The dough was light and crispy. We all thought the prices were quite reasonable. “This is the worst bar in Mount Dora. If you want to have a bad time. Go here. We showed up to the bar at 10 pm on a Saturday and ordered one drink per person. While my friends went to the bathroom, the bartender walked up to our table and took away our purchased drinks for no reason. The "manager", Mark came up and told me that we weren't welcome anymore. I asked why and he had no answer. I asked why again and he had no answer. Then after multiple times questioning, he said , "your too intoxicated" We were literally sober. The manager then physically intimidated us and forced us to leave. I'll never go to this bar again I live in this town and frequent town regularly. I'll never recommend anyone go to this bar for food or drink. What a top to bottom terrible experience. If you enjoy a good time, skip this bar.“

“Best bourbon chicken ever. I am a bourbon chicken snob and very picky. It was perfect, with steamed rice and crab rangoon. Husband had the sesame chicken and he said it was the best he's ever had. This will be our go to place for Asian cuisine.“

“I discovered Las Palmas about 7 months ago passing through Mt. Dora. I had the best Cuban sandwich possibly ever and couldn’t wait to get back! Well, I made a point to return and Camillo provided another great experience. He knew the menu well and made great suggestions. The food was excellent and did not disappoint.
