“Stopped in here to get some takeout chowder and they were just so wonderful and helpful, the gal that helped me out, I think her name was Lisa, was just full of information and so wonderful I think the boss should give her a raise! I called First and the young man who answered the phone was so positive and helpful, his name was Caleb...“
“These folks have authentic New England style seafood, always fresh and tasty. Our only quibble is that the side dishes are teeny tiny. They are served in little cups that seem more like condiment cups.My husband really enjoyed the fried clams, one of his favorites.“
“My wife and I had our first date at Pisces and every year we try to have our anniversary date here. I’ve also attended special Realtor events and a wedding shower at Pisces. The food is always outstanding. We have yet to be disappointed by a Pisces menu offering or special of the day.If you’re having dinner at Pisces, Make no mistake this is a full meal with generous portions. They often have live musicians or bands on the patio. Definitely worth going to for a date night or special event! And the bananas foster….“
“We loved this restaurant! The staff was super helpful and friendly, and the food was delicious. We tried the paella and the Hav-Tex tamale which was huge, lasted for two meals. It was very crowded so a bit hard to talk. If we ever go back to Mount Dora, we're going back here, especially as they said they didn't want to move to upstate NY. Can't blame them really.“
“The food was delicious. There should be more lettuce, onion, and tomato served as a side of the plate. The "pico de gallo" salsa for the nacho chips should have fresh cilantro and more lime juice. The drink lids leak too easily from the rim.“
“This was our first time attending this restaurant. Nick was AMAZING, AWESOME, KIND AND UNDERSTAND toward our dietary needs. Our food was OUTSTANDING! If you have allergies, we highly recommend you create and print your own allergy card to hand to your server. It makes a huge impact on your foods preparation from the cooks and the manager. My wife had the see bass and I had the ribeye.I had the smoked old fashion as well. Highly recommend. Its definitely high quality food and as such can be more expensive. Coming from a person who doesn't generally eat out often, this place is definitely top notch!Ask for Nick and have a great time.Dietary restrictions: My wife cannot have gluten, dairy, corn products, and more.“
“A Hidden Gem by the Lake!Fish Camp Lake Eustis is a delightful restaurant with a lovely lakeside setting. Their steakburger and French fries are outstanding — the 1/2 lb burger I received (pictured in my review) was juicy and cooked to perfection, served on a buttery toasted bun, and the fries were crispy and perfectly seasoned. The prices here are very reasonable considering everything is brought in fresh, and the portions are generous. The staff here has always been friendly and attentive, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. The atmosphere is fairly casual and relaxed, perfect for a laid-back meal with friends or family with fantastic views of the lake. As a local favorite, finding parking, seating, and getting your food can take some time during peak hours, which should be expected anywhere, but I can assure you it’s well worth the wait. Many of the negative reviews I’ve read here seem to be left by pretentious people who think the world revolves around them. Listen, if you’re polite, friendly, and respectful to staff your servers will notice and appreciate your kindness. I visited for lunch during a weekday. My hostess/server seated me promptly, provided me a menu upon seating, brought me a beverage right away, and got my order in very quickly. She stopped back several times to check in on my experience and to see if I needed anything, was able to provide me with a guest WiFi password, and even brought me a small to-go cup for my Coca-Cola. Kindness begets kindness, people. Remember that. All in all, Fish Camp Lake Eustis is a hidden gem in Tavares that I would highly recommend to anyone looking for delicious food, beautiful views, and friendly service.Parking: Limited number of spots in the restaurant parking lot, but people park on the lawn on a property across the street. It can get busy here so finding parking can be difficult.“
“Everyone that works there is so so nice. And the food is out of this world. I am telling you fried green tomatoes. Shrimp oh my very good ( they are 2 biters). I promise I have not eat one thing there I don't like. It is all the best food around and nicest people around. ?“
“Although the food is very good - the service needs improvement, took 15 min to get a drink , and it wasn't that crowded , while we watched the bartender gabbing with costumers , I ordered a French Bordeaux, it was served warm , I may sound like a prude but when they charge $20 a grass it should be done right, it a nice place and I will return but just saying.“
“Wonderful! We had the tortas and the sincronizada and they were so flavorful. The tortas was especially great with their fresh baked bread, and the small size is still big for 1 person. Ask for the secret "crazy" versions which include all the meats! Small place, super friendly.“
“The one thing that keeps me coming back to this place is Cynthia. She is amazing. So full of personality and experience. I am convinced she could serve that place blindfolded.I’ve been coming for years. The food is getting so boring. I will however always the sweet and Spicy Tacos. Which of course I was recommended by Cynthia. I always get a side of Pork Ri da because where else has homemade ?“
“I honestly was not expecting That Place to be as incredible as it was. It was relaxed and fun, and has some of the best burgers I've ever eaten. I'm not kidding. I have had burgers at almost every restaurant in the tri-city area. I was floored. My friends got a margarita flatbread and a surf and turf burger. Everyone went home happy. As a rainbow-flavored young person with young-people friends, I was not expecting the enthusiastic welcome we received. We all had a wonderful time and want to come back for karaoke on Saturdays.Parking: That Place shares a building with a Thai restaurant. If you come from the Thai side, there's more parking and signage around back.“
“I live in Ocala but took a trip to Tavares and had the pleasure of experiencing this gem. I had the grilled oysters and oh snap seafood boil. Absolutely amazing, best quality and value. Flavor and size of seafood was incomparable, far exceeds any other place I’ve been to. Seth was my server and was friendly, attentive, and really added to making the dining experience memorable. I had such a great experience that I simply had to order another drink and dessert. The key lime pie is delectable. Overall fantastic experience from food, value, service, location. 10/10; will recommend to everyone- definitely worth the trip!!!“
“Erin’s food was delicious! The grilled shrimp tacos with several sauces made my mouth feel like a seasoning party was going on!! I need to know your secret! Thank you for a scrumptious lunch. Can’t wait to return!Vegetarian options: Very tasty!Parking: Easy access“
“I have eaten at other Red Crab restaurants and have not been pleased at all. However, was location is awesome ❣️. Our server was so helpful and informative. The best part was the good food. It was cooked perfectly, seasoned as we requested, not water logged, greasy, or overly spiced. We shared the crab, lobster, shrimp combo.I would go back.“
“We went for my sister's birthday it was fun and relaxing we did wax melts this time and theres so many different shapes you can do! i def recommend! And she even had her own made candles we had to go home with those too ? what an experience!“
“Wonderful evening as we celebrated our anniversary. Service was excellent and each dish was perfectly prepared. Lobster bisque and salad (blood orange vinaigrette dressing-wow) were great starters; the filet an exceptional medium rare, braised short rib falling apart delicious. Could not have asked for a better experience. Never sure about a meal at a resort/hotel; not inexpensive but certainly not out of line. This exceeded all expectations. We're planning our next trip already and bringing friends. Thank you for making our anniversary weekend special“
“Most definitely a perfect Florida experience. Food was a colon cleanse which was fantastic after waiting more than an hour and a half for our food for a party of five. I approached one of the employed waitstaff regarding my concern and she quickly pointed out a party of 15 that "they just got their food. They got here at 12:30". Fabulous! I will just continue to wait over here with my heathens and be parched. NBD. Don't bother offering an appetizer on the house! Those days of customer service are gone and excuses are here to stay! But come on down to the Crazy Gator for literally craptastic food and no matter the entrance you come in you have to wade through a haze of bud light permeating off people's breaths. Fun times and wonderful first impression! Not even on the lake on the lake. It would have been the perfect place if I were with friends but not my 82-year-old Mum and my young kids.“
“Rabbit for Easter!? And those hot cross buns, woo hoo hoo doot, doot, dooo! lol. I give them something like a five for nice elevated dining with delicious fancy foods and impressive, exemplary hospitality on a level you don't see often enough anymore, in a beautifully curated arty modern space. I don't mind throwing good money down on food and an experience worthy of it and 1921 delivered, mostly. Was looking forward to the deviled duck eggs as shown on the online "example" menu but they didn't have them on the day. Shoot. And while I realize this is supposed to be an experience, we waited well over an hour for our mains to come out, long after starters and cocktails ran out, and I was about done, restless, and feeling full. So, whatever was special with the mains was sort of lost; at least on me. Our bill was also messed up, they double charged us, and took even more time still, to fix.“
